Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: I believe that rejecting the response is the only way to keep the complaint open But so far I am satisfied King's attempts to make the situation right, but I want to keep the complaint open until it is completed Regards, [redacted]

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
My entry door was installed years prior to your installation of the metal door When we first met, I advised you that I wanted the door to seal off the entry wayYou stated it was no problem When you indicated that there was an issue with the wood surrpund, I agreed and did pay *** to make whatever changed you needed Your installer Henry came and spoke to them directly and once the changes were made, you and henry, or just henry came to make sure they were up to what you asked for After that, you proceeded with the installation If there was an issue with the work *** did, it should have been made aware to me prior to any installation It was not Oncee henry put the door up, and it was not correct you blame *** after you ok'd their workJulio came weekend's ago and told me he was coming back this past Wednesday and never did, nor did he call
The bottom line is that the door does not fit the space and now you want to backfill the entry with wood so you can correct your mistakes You personally have not come to look at the mess your installers made to my frame I have screws coming put of the top, holes in wood all over the top of the frame
The door does not fit the space, it could not have been correctly measured The last installation was so loose you could shake the whole frameAs an additional point of information, I will not pay *** to come back and do any more work since you ok"d their work previously I have gone above and beyond to accommodate king remodeling and their frequent mistakes I have had enough

Review: I had a siding job done approximately 5 years ago, the contract stated that the installer would remove my gutters andinstall the siding properly behind them and reinstall. Last year I called king because the top piece of siding on both sides of my house became loose behind the gutter. I called king and never received a response. I reinstalled the siding myself. This year in March, they became loose again so I called Alex B at king, he assured me the issue would be resolved. I placed numerous calls to the firm and multiple emails and his respnse in the emails is tht he wants nothing more but to fix the issue but the weather isn't cooperating. It's been 4 months and the rain we have had ahas now gotten behind the siding that is exposed.

My issue is the lack of ownership to get this resolved as well as no feedback from them unless I call.Desired Settlement: Do the job right as the contract states

Response:

We dispute some of the characterizations made by the customer and want to clarify that this product is not under warranty. We had been in touch with the customer before they lodged the complaint and were planning to do this service at no cost, but asked them to be patient in terms of resolving it. Unfortunately they apparently couldn't wait.We will contact the customer directly to resolve this -- even though we feel we are not responsible for this problem.

Review: The problems are: I noticed a sag on the roof after it was replaced on July 16, 2013, by King Remodeling. It is located at the back of the house by the leaks. I am concerned that it can cause problems due to structural damage. I called King Remodeling and spoke to [redacted] regarding the problem with a sag on the replaced roof and confirming the Five Year Workmanship Guarantee. I followed up with a call to [redacted] and asked him to suggest how to fix the sag. He said it would cost $3000.00 to fix it because the sag was a result from the rafters. So, even though we have the Five Year Workmanship Guarantee, we would have to pay an additional $3000.00 to have it fixed. I disagreed to pay another $3000.00 to fix the sag because (1) he never once mentioned that I have a problem with the rafters that will result in a sag (2) I question if all the plywood is replaced according to the written contract and verbal agreement. I had requested to have those sheets of plywood replaced where the sag is. It is the section of the roof where the leaks were. I also requested to replace any moldy, damaged plywood. I expressed my concerns over the leaking area of the roof, repairs, molds, and all the traffics up on the roof. Therefore, I sought to replace those plywood and the roof. On the contract, [redacted] indicated that he would replace four sheets of plywood. Two plywood that would cover the area of the leaks and two sheets of plywood that would cover the mold above the entrance. Verbally, he agreed that he will re-inspect the roof deck to check if more plywood is needed to cover the area of the leaks. Also, to replace other moldy and damaged plywood prior to installations. I am suspicious and have doubts if all of the sheets of plywood were replaced because of the following: (a) An incident caused me to have doubts. I spotted another sheet of plywood with mold on the day of installation. I was surprised and upset that he did not check the plywood for molds and damages as he had verbally agreed to do so. He said it cannot be replaced because of another roof above that plywood. We went outside and checked, there was no other roof above it. Then, he said he can replace it. (b) On one of our email exchanges, he claimed that I saw them replace the plywood, of which I did not. As I was leaving the house to take my son for his camp, [redacted] approached me. He asked me to look up at the roof deck by the leaks. He told me that those plywood are in good condition. I was in a hurry and said: "Are you sure?" and left. I did not say not to replace them because I still want them to be replaced regardless. It is my preference and it is written on the contract. Why did he claim that I saw them replace those plywood on the email when I was not home? And when I was home, I was not outside the house watching over them. (c) When I asked [redacted] for the locations of the replaced plywood, he said to me, "What does it matter?" It matters because we need to know if all of the sheets of plywood were indeed replaced according to the written contract and verbal agreement.Desired Settlement: I would not want to pay additional $3000.00 to fix the sag. Also, I do not trust them. They sold me on the Five Year Workmanship Warranty which the contract stated one year warranty. I hired them because I was confident that if anything did go wrong, I would be covered under the warranty. But, it is not the case. At this point, I would like a refund.

Response:

The roof that we installed works exactly as it should. This customer simply does not want to pay her bill. The problems she outlines are not visible to anyone in our company. She claims there is a "sag" in the roof that no one can see. She acknowledges that there are no leaks or any other issues. Regardless we went out to meet with her and asked her what we could do to assuage her concerns and she said "I dont know." We've offered to extend her warranty to cover labor and materials for the life of the house. This still didn't satisfy her. The customer knows that we are about to commence legal action and this is simply a way for her to try and avoid having to pay what is owed. We are more than willing to resolve this dispute. That's why we went out to see her multiple times. This is simply an attempt to avoid paying the invoice due. If Revdex.com has any suggestions about how to resolve it we would love to hear them. We have no desire to pursue legal action.

I am rejecting this response because: I had two roofing companies came to look at the sag. Both companies noticed the sag. It is only invisible to you. You claimed that the roof you installed works exactly as it should. But, you did not confirmed that you replaced the sheets of plywood as noted on the contract. You also did not acknowledge additional sheet of plywood needed to cover the section of the leaks. You suggested to remove the shingles and bill me for the labor. I do not know what to say to that.
