To whom it may concern,
I am responding on behalf of our company in regards to...

the claim against us. We were called to change a tire, and upon a arrival we had noticed that some damage was done to the vehicle previously to us touching the vehicle. Skid plate was missing, numerous dents and scratches to the bumper. Were unaware if this happened before or after the tire blew on the vehicle. My driver noticed a noise in the vehicle and told them about it, but they wasn't concerened. Making it a few miles down the road the vehicle started to smoke and over heat. The member then made contact with our night dispatcher saying we damaged their vehicle, and they need it towed asking us what we are going to do about it. We told them we could take it back to our shop take a look at it in the morning and take it from there. The member declined us taking it back to our shop and looking at the vehicle they wanted it to be taken to Baker's Collision. We towed the member to Baker's Collision and took them to a hotel for the night. The member called our shop the next morning and asked what were going to do about it. I Mellissa office manage told the member I was going to send my mechanic and our auto tech of 30 years up to look at the vehicle to make sure we did the damage before we make any decisions on what the next step would be. The owner of the vehicle had then stated no I don't want you people around or looking at my vehicle. So I called Baker's Collision and asked if they have started any work on the vehicle and they said not yet but this customer is demanding we get it done asap and not to let you guys look at it. Right there told us something was up. I had then asked Baker's if I could send my mechanic and my auto tech up to take a look at this vehicle before hand and they told me to go ahead. I sent them and another person up and thats when we had denied the claim, due to skid plate missing, all the dents and scratches in the bumper. All the damage may have happened when the tire blew going 65-70 mph on 1-71 which also could have caused the radiator to blow to. I know my company is not at fault by any means, and we tried our best to service this customer or any customer for that matter. If our company makes a mistake we fix it at no cost to the owner.
