I have been receiving harassing calls from *** The Assistant Store Manager and *** The Str Mgr regarding a preowned washer and dryer.
I have made a grand total of $1,172 in payments for ten months on time. Plus I had to make a down payment of $115 before the merchandise was delivered to my home. I got laid off my job from Wake County Human Services and I have been under alot of stress. *** the store manager wants to come and pick up the used washer and dryer. I find this to be unfair when I have four payment left on the account. Kimbrell's Furniture store has a history of treating consumers unfair when a hardship occurs.

Desired Outcome

I want to make partial payments so that I can keep my washer and dryer. I want to speak with the District Manager and tell her about the harassing phone calls I have been receiving from *** and *** and staff.

On April. 18, 2019 I selected new living room set upon its delivery I was dissatisfied. I informed the movers and the company within minutes.
On April. 18, 2019 I selected new living room furniture and placed a down payment of $300 and had the remaining financed through a third party financing company, ***. The furniture was delivered on 4/20/2019 and upon it being set up I notified the movers that I was dissatisfied and asked about the return policy, they were not aware and stated that "its above my paygrade, you'll need to contact the office". Before they left the premises, I contacted Kimbrell's and spoke to the Manager *** and expressed my concerns with the quality of the furniture and the size, much different than what was in the actual store. *** responded, that I should of never signed the paperwork and that now it's between me and the finance company because everything was clear on the companies end. *** suggested I contact *** and provided me with the contact information. I contacted the finance company and the representative and her manager told me that this was not accurate and that it was between the merchant and me when it comes to return policy or exchanges. *** also stated that the Kimbrells could even provide a cancellation or invoice fee to them and they would refund me 100%, even for the finance fee. I called *** back, informed her of the information, and requested a signature that corresponds with me accepting the furniture was nonrefundable. I requested the corporate office number for the company, she was very professional, and kind, provided me, and stated she would follow up before the end of the business day. I never received a follow-up call and proceeded today to contact corporate. When I contacted corporate I was told that ***'s Supervisor would be in contact with me between 24-48 hours.

I received a call less than 30 minutes later from *** who interrupted me before I completely explained my concerns with the furniture. She stated that she was present when I first came to look at the furniture and that I liked it. She also stated that they offered me a deal (it was the annual sale offered to all customers that day) after I found another couch that I liked. *** said that in the state of North Carolina once I receive it, it's mine and that they don't have a return policy. She said that now the furniture is considered used and that I could have bed bugs and there is nothing she can do. I explained that I contacted the company before the movers even left my complex. *** was clearly agitated and offered no customer service when telling me that its mine now. I told her that I would be writing reviews online and filing complaints with the Revdex.com, The *** Agency, and the *** office. Her response is that it was fine just make sure I tell the truth and make sure I tell everyone they provided me a discount. She was extremely rude and disrespectful.

return and complete refund.

I have called and emailed Kimbrell's several times and no one will will return my phone call or emails about my new bed that has collapsed on one side

Thank you for your help the manager from kimbrells come out and ordered me a brand new replacement mattress and they said they would have it here in about a week so everything has been resolved you can close the case thank you so much for your help

I purchased a used sofa on sale, and I paid for their delivery service. During the delivery, the two people handling it were careless and as I watched the sofa coming in, they hit and chipped the front door frame of my new house. The sofa was a two-piece of furniture so I asked them to please be more careful with the second piece, and this time they did not hit the door but to my amazement, as they reached the place where I wanted the sofa located, they dropped hard the second piece to the floor and I thought some damage had also been done to the floor. Without any further event one of them just handed me the delivery order form for my signature and both workers left without a single apology about the incidents. I called the manager and told him about what happened and he said he needed pictures, so I sent a couple of them of the chipped door frame. A few days later he offered money back or to call their insurance company to deal with the problem, so I accepted to deal through their insurance company. A few days passed without hearing from them so I called back and the manager said he needed to take some pictures himself. He came to the house with some filling instead and applied it himself to the door, saying that he would finish the job after the filling dried out. He never returned. So much for the insurance company dealing with my new door frame. After all this, I decided to deal with the sanding and painting myself. The manager never apologized on behalf of the company. This is not a way to treat customers. I will never recommend doing any kind of business with these people. No manners nor respect for customers.

Thank you for the opportunity to explain the events surrounding the incident in question. As a organization that has served the community for over 100 yrs we do respect any customer complaint. Unfortunately the delivery of furniture is not a perfect science. Their may be occasional damage to walls or doors due to narrow spaces and the shifting of heavy furniture upon entry.The manager spoke to the customer and apologize for any damages that may have occurred. Upon our conversation we agreed to have the customer send pictures in order to survey the damage.After receiving the pictures we determined that the damaged area was about a fourth of a inch scratch and easily repairable. The customer was contacted and the manager went out to the residence.Upon arrival the customer was not home but instead had someone their to point out the damage area. The area was repaired and the customer told that a return visit was needed to allow the wood filler to dry and repaint the area. The customer expressed concerns that he would have preferred a new door but agreed that the damage was to minor and did not require replacement. The customer was called to complete the work and his words were not to come out because the sanding and painting was so minor they completed it themselves. We do appreciate all our customers and thank you for this opportunity to explain this incident.
