Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: the claims from the business owner lack credibility and truthThe statement that I made threats over the phone is a fabricated lie, as are assertions that the fleas were from my own dogWe didn't spend much time in the room before noticing
fleas, and my dog was never on the bedI have many pictures of the fleas and black hair in the bedIt is not possible for this to come from my white dog that was never on the bed. Sincerely,** ***
As the owner and operator of Riverview Lodge, we disagree with Mr. [redacted]'s complaint, and do not feel as though a refund in full is reasonable. Mr. [redacted] checked in at the Riverview Lodge at 5:30 PM on August 26, 2016. We received a call from him that night, at 9:30 PM regarding a hair he had found on his blanket. When we visited his room, we provided him with three solutions: (1) to change his room;(2) provide him with a 20% refund; or (3) he may check out of the room without charge. Mr. [redacted] decided to stay in his room, and was then provided 4 new sheets, 4 new pillow cases, 2 new blankets.
The next morning, Mr. [redacted] came to the office and requested a full refund. The acting manager informed him that she could only provide a 20 % refund, and if he is still insistent on a full refund, he will have to speak with the owner of the motel. The next day, I personally called Mr. [redacted] and explained that I could increase the refund amount to 50% of the total he had paid for his stay. At this point, he threatened me, with the statement, "I 'Will see to that. You don know who I am"
Not only is Mr. [redacted]'s request for a full refund unreasonable, but his complaint is lacking.Mr. [redacted] alleges that there were flees in his bed, but fails to inform that he brought a large dog with him, which was likely the cause of any alleged flees being in Mr. [redacted] 's room and/or bed. Even after offering a discount, a change of room, and new sheets and blankets, he decided to use our services for the entirety of his stay, and now demands a full refund. As the owner and operator of RiverView Lodge, I do not feel as though Mr. [redacted]'s request for a full refund is just or reasonable, and we are still willing to compensate him for 50% of the total price he paid.
