I hired Ms. [redacted] earlier this year, in May 2011 to represent me in a criminal matter. I was charged with a crime I did not commit. I had been hospitalized 4 times during the week in question and had given all pertaining information to Ms. [redacted]'s office. She didn't even bother to contact the hospitals for the medical records which were foundational to the defense. Ms. [redacted] passed me off to her assistant, [redacted] without notifying me. Mr. [redacted] continued my court date and then didn't even bother to show up or notify me. An arrest warrant was issued and bail enforcement kicked in my front door at 5 a.m. with my children sleeping in the living room. I promptly fired Ms. [redacted] and hired my current attorney [redacted], who was mortified at her lack of follow through and asked me why I hired them in the first place. He notified me that the prosecutors office had no knowledge of the facts of the case as Ms [redacted] could not be bothered to contact them and let them know the cirucmstances which completely affected the outcome of the trial. Ms. [redacted] did not send me an itemized bill which I requested because she knows she can't justify the expenses. I paid her 3 payments totalling $4800 for which she did nothing. She owes me a partial refund and an explanation of charges.
