Kids R Kids of Midlothian

Review: In February of this year, the daycare facility Kids R Kids shut it's doors with very littel warning. On Friday February 27th (after close of buisness), the parents were notified by email that the facility was closing buisness and we had one week to find new daycare arrangements. They said they would close for good on the following Friday March 6th.

We recieve assistance with daycare expenses through the military. The process is that we pay the daycare ahead of time for the month of services and then the military (through [redacted]) sends a check to the daycare provider after they verify the children actually recieved services for the month.

When Kids R Kids closed, they had recieved checks from the [redacted] for the months of January and February. The daycare cashed those checks but did not reimburse us for the amount they recieved. Essentially, they took our full payment for those months and cahsed the checks from [redacted] but, when they closed the doors, they should have either , sent the money back to [redacted] or wrote us a check to be aplied to the daycare we transfered to. Since neither has been done, I assume the daycare pocketed the money and hoped that noone would notice.

I have to assume this because the Friday that they closed the doors, they not only shut the building down but, they turned off the phones as well. The number we had to contact them when they were our daycare was immediately disconnected. We have no way of contacting them that we are aware of.Desired Settlement: We just want them to return the money to [redacted] so that [redacted] can in turn refund us..
