Subj: [redacted] Revdex.com [redacted], I am following up to a complaint I received to a crash I worked On 07-13-2015 in [redacted] County Kansas. I was dispatched to [redacted] from the [redacted] County Sheriff's Office. On a 1999 [redacted] that was nosed into the ditch that disabled...
the entire front end. This vehicle had to be distracted using two different hook points due to the severity of the damage and location of the vehicle not to mention it was a challenge due to the narrow road I had to work with. After extracting the above listed vehicle I had to load it. After loading it, I had to clean up and secure all loose debris. At which time I delivered to a field next to the customers house. At which I time I gave a itemized invoice to the Grand Pa That I explained each billable item. I also advised him that the rates were off the approved rate sheet for the [redacted] County Sheriffs office. I even offered to show them the fee sheet approved by the Sheriffs office. I even minimized the tow charges to minimize the customers cost. (that was not 16 years old). Before leaving I asked the customers if he had his keys he stated yes, so I drove away. The following week we received a call asking for the keys at which time we advised we did find them and had them waiting for the customer to pick up at our tow lot. We feel this is better then trying to send a key through the mail. I charged$75.00 Hook$75.00 Extraction out of ditch and back to roadway$8.00 in Mileage$20.00 for laborTotal of $178.00 The labor charge should of been $60.00The Mileage $12.00Fuel Service Charge $10 This is $72.00, I did not charge which by policy and law I could have. I have children that drive and I showed empathy. I sent you four pictures earlier of the crash. I also have a copy of the tow bill if needed. Any further questions please feel free to contact me. Thank you Michael Kidd###-###-####
