This was a case of "buyers remorse". Kia AutoSport refunded the entire partial payment ($4000).

Kia AutoSport performed a Kia recall on the vehicle and replaced the timing belt. These repairs are not related to the instrument cluster failure. The vehicle is outside of the warranty coverage due to mileage.
