Review: I applied for an apartment through this broker. We were told at the time of application that if accepted, upon signing a lease, we would pay the first month rent, a security deposit equal to one month rent and the broker fee. Knowing this I put down a $300 good faith depost which if accepted would go towards the secruity deposit. My application was accepted, however the terms where altered so that cost to move in was over $10k or almost double the original amount quoted. Upon declining the acceptance because of the new terms, the broker kept our $300 instead of returning it. If I had been rejected for the apartment I would have gotten the $300 back. I believe this company only accepted the application with impossible terms so they could keep the good faith deposit I put down. They knew the new terms put forward were impossible for me as they had all my salary and tax information and could have reasonable deduced that I would be forced to decline and lose my money. Completely unethical business practices and one which I will bring them to court over if not settled.Desired Settlement: Refund cash put down or charges will be filed and Keyah will be brough to small claims court.
