Mr*** came to our office on June 3, to locate a rental property with arrival date of June 8, 2016. At that time he paid a $security deposit on the property. Since is was a vacation rental, less than months he was had a cleaning fee of $85, processing fee of $and
credit card fee of 3%. He requested the rental clerk to run his credit card for the security deposit, cleaning fee, processing fee and credit card feesOn June 7th he contacted us to move in earlyWe were still getting the unit made ready. On June 8th, day he was to take possession he called and said that he did not need the condo any longer. We explained that the security deposit of $would be given to owner as cancellation fee since he did not cancel within hours of making the reservation. We refunded the cleaning fee and processing fee. A check was mailed to him for $95.00. The agreement clearly states Cancellation: If you must cancel or shorten your stay, it must be done days prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation feeFor reservations made in less than days of arrival, you have hours from the time that you made your reservation to cancel or shorten your stay. Cancellation fees are $for condos and $for houses. If additional information is required, please advise..*** ***, Manager
