Review: I took my schnauser in today for grooming. When I picked him up, not only was he cut unevenly, they shaved off his beard (no phone call indication a problem with cutting his beard). When I picked him up, I paid the bill and included a $10.00 tip. they then brought my schnauser out loking like someelses dog. I was so stunned I just kind of walked out with my mouth open. Even worse was my tip mistake for someone that got a clipper set at 1/4" and shaved the ENTIRE schnauser. The staff (older lady by the desk) seemed as though she couldn't have cared less...absolutely no oversight. Shoddy work. Won't go back!!!!!Desired Settlement: They should sell, close the businees and start doing haircuts for the military, although they still need to improve on both attention to detail and their communication skills which are presently non-existant.
PS the grooming was scdulked week in advance and wasn't a last minute decision. Never again.

Response:
This complaint was just brought to my
attention on 10/25/13 (due to an incorrect email address).
Here is my rely:
[redacted] is a 12 year old miniature
schnauzer. He has been coming to Ker Mor for grooming since March,
2012. At that time, we informed his owners that it was too dangerous
to remove excessive matting from an elderly dog---not to mention
painful for the dog. We have shaved [redacted]'s beard and body on more
than one occasion since then.
I am sorry that I was not notified
directly by the customer (as the 40-ish-something “older lady”)
at the time of the groom. I would have happily explained what
happened. Mr. [redacted] did not seem upset when he left, so I had no idea
there was a problem.
I normally offer to fix a groom or
offer a discount on a future groom when a customer is unhappy, but in
this case I will mail a check to Mr [redacted] for 35.50 (half of the price
of his groom, and the $10.00 tip.)
This is because, frankly, I am beyond
insulted at his suggestion for a settlement that I “sell,
close the business and start doing haircuts for the military.”
Ker Mor is a second generation business with a long history of satisfied
customers. While possibly a "joking" suggestion, it is is offensive to me, the Revdex.com
process and (honestly) the military.
