This business changed the terms of our contract causing me to spend more money to try and avoid my property being destroyed I entered into a contract with Textbookrecycling.com to sell my textbooks for a set priceUpon receiving my textbooks, the company changed the quote on what they'd offer to an amount significantly lessThey claimed there was damage to the books, but there was no damage to the books when I mailed them to the companyAny damage occurred was due to their negligenceAfter requesting my books be returned to me, they told me I had to pay for return shipping despite no foul play on my partI should not have to pay for my property to be returned to me because they no longer want to pay me the amount already agreed upon
Business offers to purchase selected Textbooks at their given price from the general public and say they will pay people by check However, they lied about the condition of my book, saying it was damaged (Which it was not) and could not accept it Next, they send an email stating this fact and that one has only hours to contact them, at which point, they will now charge you to sent it backThat appears to fall within the "Bait and Switch" scamUnfortunately, this did not happen to me as I opened the email beyond their time-frame and was told that my book was goneI was never informed of this hour rule of theirs before sending the book inSo, basically, they simply stole my book and most likely resold it to some one else or just added it to their scrap pile to recycle Order_Number: XXXXXXX
