They replaced the TIPM (Totally Integrated Power Module) in my *** Town and Country. The engine light remained on. They said it would take more investigation to learn why. I took vehicle to another repair shop. The new mechanic identified the problem as a faulty TIPM. He ruled out any other factors, such as the harness or wiring. He proved the TIPM was faulty by bypassing *** TIPM and wiring outside the TIPM and the engine light went off, for the cost of *** An additional issue Kempsville left the vehicle with was inoperable DVD system. I later learned that they should have taken it to the dealership to be configured after replacing the TIPM. I was charged *** for the TIPM and *** for labor. The list price of the TIPM is *** and estimated labor to install is *** I spoke to Kempsville about this. All they offered was a free oil change to appease my complaint. I was sold a faulty part TIPM that they would not replace. I was overcharged for parts, labor and diagnostics. I was not offered any ways to a solution for the faulty part they installed. I was taken advantage of because I am a female and I am a senior citizen.
Refund I want a refund for the parts, labor, supplies and tax that I paid to Kempsville Auto Care totalling *** I want the part (TIPM) replaced by the dealer that Kempsville Auto Care obtained it from. I do not want them to do any work on my vehicle. I will have the replacement TIPM installed and configured by another auto repair shop or dealer.

*** did not address the issue. The issue is the tipm was defective. That was proved by another mechanic. Kempsville should stand behind a defective part that they installed. I would think that all new parts come with a warranty. it makes me wonder where he got this part. Did it come from a junkyard? Why is he so reluctant to replace a defective part? I want the TIPM replaced or refunded.
