I was a new patient to Kelly Smile Dentistry in May 2019. At that time, I had x-rays and an initial cleaning done. When I was leaving the office, I was made another appointment for later in the year for second cleaning. I could not make the second cleaning appointment due to Kelly Smile Dentistry having to change my original date they scheduled for me. But a scheduler from Kelly Smile Dentistry called and said that they would waive the no-show fee if I got my second cleaning done before the end of the year - before I lose my benefit of a second cleaning. So I came into the office for this cleaning on 12/13/19 at Kelly Smile Dentistry's request (direction). Following my cleaning appointment, it was brought to my attention that I needed $3,038.00 of additional work done to my teeth. But my insurance would only cover $1,206.50 of the bill - leaving me with $1,831.50 I would be responsible for. I let Kelly Smile Dentistry know that I did not have the money to do this at this time - that I might have to explore other options. Then on 1/2/20, I received a bill for $139.00. But there was no description or details of why I was being changed this amount. I contacting Kelly Smile Dentistry on 1/6/20, and I was told that the $139.00 charge was for my last cleaning in December 2019 - that my insurance did not cover another cleaning for 2019. I explained that I only came in because the scheduler from Kelly Smile Dentistry told me that I had another cleaning I could do in 2019. Now I am being told that Kelly Smile Dentistry would waive the $139.00 charge if I agreed to get another cleaning with them next month (2020). But I no longer trust this dental office, and I prefer to not have anymore work done to my teeth with them. I have requested that they do not charge me $139.00 for their mistake in scheduling me in for a second cleaning that I could have done a month later for free (covered by my dental insurance).
