Keller Realty Property Management Reviews (3)

On Sunday November 9th 2014 around 1pm, we received an eviction notice of non-payment of reni in the amount of $1130. Our rent check has never been late over the last for the last several years we have lived there. Of course, the office was closed the day we received the complaint so I called first thing this morning to clear up this issue. Going over bank statements, our rent check was cashed on the 4th of this month and my mother had dropped it off at their place of business on the 31st of October. My mother had to drop it off because my husband and I were in [redacted] while my husband was at UC Davis receiving a kidney transplant. We haven't even been home a week when we received this notice, and my husband has not been able to get his blood pressure down since receiving it yesterday. When I spoke to the woman today on the phone, she said it wasn't for our rent being not paid (which once again has never been late) but for Landscaping charges that we have not used in almost two years. This company has never sent an invoice for these charges, called or communicated with us about these charges. We find out about them through an eviction notice. Now, they are trying to get all their records straight before they can call me back because their office is obviously disorganized. This is not how anyone does business, and I have received 2 emails saying that my rent has not been paid, and when I call they have no idea why I got the email since clearly I am paid to date. Clearly there is some discrepancies in this office and how they conduct business.Desired SettlementIf the matter is not handled and they force us out of our home, I will be hiring a lawyer and hiring a moving service that Keller Property Management will be responsible for paying for. Business Response We have an appointment set up with [redacted] for tomorrow at 11:00 am. At that time I will be showing [redacted] the various times we have sent information to her, the tenant portal access to her tenant ledger which has been available for 2 years now,and a willingness to bring this issue to completion which is all we have been trying to do for 2 years now. We value [redacted] and her family as good tenants and we are hoping we can work this out with her and we NEVER intended to cause anyone in her family discomfort. We are just trying to do our job as the property manager on behalf of the owner.

I was looking to rent a house from them and inquired on their website about the neighborhood I wanted, and what I wanted to pay for rent. I included my sons schools, my first and last name and my phone number. Now the entire message I sent is listed on their website for everyone to see: my full name, phone number and children's schools. I have called three times to have it removed and each time they promise to call me back, but they have never called back and it doesn't appear that they are doing anything to remove my personal, private information from their website.Desired SettlementI want my private, personal information (regarding my children, my finances and my phone number, removed from their website). They refuse to act.Business Response I have a copy of the posting made by Ms. which she posted to our comment section. This can be forwarded to you if you would like to see it. This comment site is equivalent to a [redacted] comment and we are still trying to get our web site handler to delete it. It is proving to be as difficult and time consuming as calling [redacted]. Ms. should think twice about putting her information on such a public comment page in the future. We will do as much as we can. In all of these years this is the first time a potential tenant posted personal information in this arena (comments page) and we have no experience in dealing with this type of problem. We will do our best. I was just told that if the web site handler can remove it at all it will take 24 hrs from today to see if we were successful. If it is not removed - then their plan did not work and I cannot spend any more time or money on this. I hope it works and all problems will be solved.Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)In actuality, this company has not returned one phone call to me, nor appeared to have taken any action at all. The fact that they won't "spend anymore time or money on this problem" is laughable, considering that they have yet to return one phone call or contact me in any manner- essentially refusing to spend one moment or cent on the problem. In reality, this company refuses to do anything to remove pertinent information about me from their website. I do not appreciate their claim that I should think twice before posting my information to essentially a [redacted] site. I assure you that as I was looking at their website, I sent them a personal message regarding housing. At no point would I consider posting personal information to a [redacted] like site and that is certainly not the way their site is set up. It's a rental company, not a dating site. I am not surprised with their offhanded, aloof and rude response, this is always the way they have treated me and honestly, I'd be surprised if anyone encountered anything less. I would seriously consider allowing these people to manage your housing needs considering they can't manage their own website, nor return phone calls. Final Business Response The information the complainant wanted removed was successfully removed by our web host the day I responded the first time. As I mentioned before we were told it may take 24-48 hours for it to be completely deleted. Perhaps she should check the site to verify if it has been removed.

I signed a 1-year lease with KRPM last September, and in March I was notified that I had to re-locate back to [redacted] due to custody reasons for my daughter. I reviewed ways I could possibly break my lease, and since the state of Nevada does not allow me to do so for my particular reason, I contacted KRPM to give notice and get a list of everything I could do to have someone else take it over. I immediately listed it on [redacted], interviewed several candidates, and had the one I chose submit his application in early April. Thinking I had my bases covered since he had great credit and job history, I withdrew my ad and continued planning for my move (scheduled to get carpets cleaned professionally, gave notice at work, etc). Last week, with only a week and a half before I'm supposed to leave, I contacted my candidate to make sure the application process was complete. He told me they had notified him THAT DAY (meaning they had his app for almost 3 weeks) that the rent was being increased $55/month (something they failed to mention to me) and that they could START processing his application if he agreed to the increase. I called to resolve this and get some answers, and I got a snarky "tough cookies" response from both employees I spoke with. Now I'm up a creek with a week to find another candidate, and with the rent increase, I've gotten only ONE reply. I HAVE to move next week, because I don't have a job in [redacted] anymore. The unprofessional way in which my candidate and I were treated is unacceptable! I've been a perfect tenant, paying rent early most months, otherwise on time, no complaints, and never asking for anything extra, but because I'm locked into this lease, they simply do not care about my circumstances.Desired SettlementI want an explanation from KRPM as to why I wasn't notified that there would be a rent increase in the middle of my lease at the time I put in my 30-day written notice, and why they took so long to extend this information to my candidate, not to mention myself. I know I signed a lease, and therefore am legally obligated to fulfill it, but this is just morally wrong.Business Response I just returned from my vacation yesterday 4/24/14. All parties were notified that this issue would be taken care of on that day.As a re-cap, we received a notice from [redacted] that she had to relocate due to her job. As is customary with all of our tenants who need to break a lease - we offer "free of charge" our services to HELP re-rent their property. It is not our responsibility to re-rent a property under the above circumstances - it is a courtesy. We did not know that [redacted] was running an ad on her own and we do not encourage this separate ad running as it does not fit in our protocol of having a leasing agent present for protection of the tenant when strangers call to see the property. All tenants have to go through the same screening process and credit needs to be run and prior landlords need to be verified. The prospective tenant that [redacted] is referring to turned in a partially completed application on 4/9/14. He turned in the final information on 4/14/14.On 4/15/14 he was notified that the rent was scheduled for an increase and he said it was ok but then he called on 4/16/14 to say he did not want to pay the increase rent. I was notified on 4/23/14 (I was out of town from 4/14-4/23/14) of this information and told my staff that we in fact would not raise the rent due to the balance of time left on the current tenants lease and to honor the short term left on the lease at the current price. The tenant was notified of the change and he said he has been out of town or busy and he would indeed like to continue with lease under the conditions referred to above. All was remedied prior to my receipt of this complaint.Today I have been informed that [redacted] verbally threatened our company with filing bad reviews through her employer [redacted] and various postings and hanging up on the staff. She also called asking to have a copy of the application (personal information) from the applicant which is ill-legal for me to provide but again she was being very hostile.I understand she is worried about not being able to fulfill her obligation with regards to the lease she signed with us. I am also very happy that her safety was not compromised by running the ad and showing the property herself. We do follow certain protocal in order to provide a level of security for all our tenants, owners and applicants. We will continue that level of expertise until the property is indeed rented and we hope that we can accommodate [redacted]s' tight schedule and relieve her of her financial responsibility with regards to her lease with us.I was out of the office for 10 days and my staff was trying to work with both the prospective tenant and the current tenant. Everyone is human and just a modocum of professional courtesy and patience would have been helpful here.I truly appreciate your involvement here and hope the information gets forwarded to [redacted] and as usual she can meet with me at any time to further this communication.[redacted]
