Review: I bought a 2005 Dodge Ram for $17165.60 on May 14,2011 from the [redacted]. The salesman also sold me an Extended Service Contract that would repair any mechanical failure but did not cover any electrical failure. I signed the the Service Contract application and he gave me a copy and a pamphlet describing the extended warranty. On April 22, 2014, I took my Dodge Ram to the [redacted] Repair shop in El Centro,CA for Knocking noise. On May 12, the repair shop manager said the problem was the heads of the engine. When the manager submitted the Extended Service Contract claim to the the OwnerGuard Corporation administrator, he responded on May 15, 2014 that the the extended warranty did not cover the mechanical part of the heads which was stated in the 7 pages of the policy. I never received the policy or a copy, or the details by the salesman. When I inquire about a legal recourse, the legal aide at [redacted],and [redacted] said that the statute of limitations was three years which turn out to be May 14, 2014. I paid $1500 for this warranty, thinking it would protect me from a $3000 repair bill( actual bill for the repair is $4000). I tried contacting the [redacted] so they could refund me the $1500 that I paid for the extended warranty which I did not receive in writing or a copy. The phone number belongs to [redacted] dealership located in El Cajon,CA. I know that I am a small fry compare to the sharks in the ocean, but I think my complaint has validity.Desired Settlement: Since OwnerGUARD will not pay the repair shop bill of $4000.00 because of the statute of limitations, I demand the $1500.00 fee for the extended warranty that was not explained or given a written policy, and was not honored.
