Review: I would like to appeal my balance owed to Kean University as a result of withdrawing from my Summer I session classes past the deadline. I was advised on Friday, May 23, 2014 that I was accepted into the Supervisor Certification program, I originally applied on April 14, 2014. Since May 26th was a holiday (Memorial Day) I was registered for classes the evening of May 27, 2014 which was the same day as the deadline for 100% withdrawal. I was unable to obtain the book for my 2 online courses and many of the assignments were due that week. I didn’t post as I was going to withdraw from the course. The Professor reached out to me and strongly encouraged me to post. I completed the post that didn’t require the textbook, however I realized it was impossible for me to complete all the work.

Since I was accepted and registered late I would like to know if I can receive at least a 75% refund. It will create great financial hardship to be left with a balance of $4500. I was going to pay for my classes with loans, however due to dropping the classes I was unable to obtain financial aid. I would love to begin classes in the fall and have enough time to prepare for them. However, with this large balance I am unable to do so. Please consider my request for a refund. I am terrified to think that I will have to pay nearly 5,000 for classes I could not complete. I even spoke with the Professor to try to obtain an incomplete instead of withdrawing but he denied my request. I am pleading to be able to work something out where I do not owe such a huge amount of money. Attached please find some emails that coincide with the dates listed aboveDesired Settlement: I would like to not be responsible for the full bill

Review: I applied as a readmit student in January of 2013. I hadn't heard from Kean so I called them in June to see what was going on. I was transferred to a Mrs. [redacted] and was told that I was to wait for a letter from her. The letter never came and I cannot attend Kean this semester because they never got back to me.Desired Settlement: I would like my $75 application fee back since they never did anything for me to come back to their school.
