The issue was later resolved by another company; it took them less than 15 minutes.
Karl’s knew the details of the issue to be resolved, yet they knowingly sent a technician that was not knowledgeable or skilled to provide the solution.
laptop that would not power up to a new laptop.was told that it
would be no problem and their tech could even mirror it to my
new laptop.their tech arrived to appointment 2 hours late.tool
apart laptop to be transferred from to remove harddrive, then he
says oh I do not have the cable to transfer from the hard
drive.said he was new and the company does not give him many
tools to work with.then tells me to go online and purchase a cable
to try to do it myself!next I am charged $129 for about a 30 min
visit for nothing!also wasted my day waiting for tech as he was
two hours late to appointment time.when I did a google search
the company looks to be local, but it is based in AZ.very
deceptive.
We will call them again when needed.
One day cancellation fee was charged (email invoice) for one day cancellation when 1-Website does not mention such a fee 2-The spokesman with whom I placed the order said he was recording our conversation, and he did not mention a cancellation fee. 3-I could not read emails to me mentioning the fee because I did not get my computer working until in the evening of the day I placed the order (July 15). I cancelled the order at 9:30 a.m the next day (July 16) and first heard about the cancellation fee then. I sent email to the contact suggested on the web site and never received a reply. I called *** (the number given on the website) and was told someone would get back to me. They never did. I called again today (July 22), was placed on hold and then told higher management said the same day cancellation fee was company policy and wouldn't be waived. (I don't even know if I selected the right company because the website just give an email address and a phone number-***. I looked on the Internet, and similar complaints have been made...The company turned the matter over to a collection agency, thereby affecting credit. I should add that the company offered to reschedule the appointment and apply the $125 to the first hour. I declined because my computer is working fine.
The local office is not responding and I've received a call from Karl's Technology.
Thank you so much for
your response. Being a smaller local
company, we are committed to providing quality service as quickly as possible
to our clients. When we reserve a slot for one of our end users, that
inevitably prevents us from seeing another client during that time. The Same
Day Cancel fee is intended to give us adequate time to cancel an appointment
and schedule another customer who needs service at that time reservation.
Having an End User cancel the same day puts us at a huge disadvantage for both
our Company but more importantly not being able to help out a customer just
like you. Typically, this results in us having to try scramble to find a
replacement for that appointment. Additionally, all of our dispatchers forewarn
customers of our cancellation policy if it is an appointment booked within 24
hours of the service window. Additionally, all of our cancellation policy
information is emailed to a customer when they book along with booking
confirmation. Sorry for the inconvenience and we look forward to servicing you
again in the future! (please see attached copies of all our cancellation policies).
I had originally scheduled a computer repair appointment with "***" on or around May 20th, 2020. The appointment was scheduled for between 9am and 12pm on Friday, May 29th, 2020. I called *** on Tuesday, May 26th from my work phone to cancel the appointment. When I called their main phone number at *** no one answered and I left a voicemail to cancel the appointment. On Friday, May 29th the company contacted me around 8:00am to advise that they were on my way to my house. I called the main number and advised the person that answered the phone (William) that I had already called earlier in the week to cancel the appointment. William advised me that they never received the voicemail and that I would have to pay the $125 cancellation fee. I advised William that this was unfair since I called and left a voicemail earlier in the week. I asked to speak with someone else about this and William advised that there was no one else to speak with. The company then sent me an invoice for $125.
Mike is very knowledgeable, he has a good attitude and gives great advice. He is an asset for your company.

This is a horrible company. I was a NEW customer and canceled an appointment less than 24 hours due to a family emergency. No work was done I told them I would reschedule and Karl has the balls to send me to collections for $125 for doing absolutely nothing. Sending a possible new customer to collections for $125 shows the kind of person Karl is and scammy business ethics. SCARY he is working on people's computers. Also, using his daughter's pic all over his sites? what's that about...He also has 6 different pages on FB in different cities running the same scam. I will be reviewing him on the Revdex.com, GMB local packs, yelp, etc. horrible horrible company.

When booking an appointment, the technician recommended I purchase a specific hard drive and then sent me a link for purchase ahead of my appointment, which included a hard drive upgrade. The technician that was deployed did not bring the right equipment and was unable to install hard-drive. Additionally, the other main objective of having this company come to my house was to extract and download data off of two old computers. The technician did not bring the right equipment to do this either. Finally, the technician was unable to upgrade my system on one of my computers. I basically paid $175 for nothing. It was a total disappointment, was not helpful and was a waste of money.

I have received a collections account under this company, when I never had any services at all. They booked their own appointment in their system and then proceeded to say that I had a same day cancelation fee. When in reality, I never received any services at all nor did I confirm or authorize this. Yet they still wanna attempt to obtain 125.00$ from me. This company should be looked at further.
you scheduled an appointment for 11/23/18 3-6pm. Our field engineer showed up at your house and you were a no show. We charged you a $125 no show fee which we offered to wave if you rescheduled the appointment. You never did and you avoided discussing this with our in house collections team until we turned it over to a collections agency.

AVOID THIS SCAM. I live in Colorado. I had a problem with my printer. I regretfully phoned, without knowing the physical address (none on website) and is in Arizona. I made an appointment to get my printer issue fixed. Boom, they can come out in two days 8:00 a.m. Phoned me at 8:10 to day he'll be late. Arrived 8:40. It was obvious that he had no clue how to fix a simple driver / firmware issue and said it was "deep down in the computer" and would take a long time to dig down. He mentioned I had told the tech that I was going to load WIN10PRO if I couldn't get it to work. I didn't say I wanted him to do it. After 20 minutes of him rebooting, checking my wires for connection (uh hum), then running out to car, I got my checkbook and wrote the check and said do not worry that I could tell he was out of his league. This is a scam $125. I live in a home. I have plumbers and electrician's who charge less for a house call. If he couldn't fix it (basic hardware) then he should have said, Sorry, how about a $50 fee for his gas/time. What a scam - they get the $125 whether fixed or not. Karls is out of state and I don't know how this affects his client's complaints. AVOID KARL'L LIKE THE PLAGUE.

I contacted this company to fix my computer. A tech came, worked on it, but needed a part which I had to order from Amazon. He left after I paid him $375. The part came in, but it didn't fix the computer so I recalled the company. Same tech came, but failed to fix computer. Before he left he wanted $312.50 for this visit. I felt that charging me again for work that had been guaranteed, but left me with a non-working computer was wrong and didn't pay him. The bookkeeper called me and I explained the situation. I thought it was settled, but now I'm being harassed by a collection agency. I tried to contact the owner, but he didn't return my calls or emails. I feel I was more than fair by not asking for the $375 back.
Revdex.com,
The first visit to *** was to repair some issues with her computer where we diagnosed it had hardware issues and that at least the video card should be replaced as we could not diagnose anything further until the video card was working properly. Once a working video card was ordered and installed we diagnosed the motherboard as being faulty and *** refused to pay for the second visit and did not want to order a replacement motherboard. The General Manager deals with client disputes and spoke with *** on 4/20/2018 at 11:31am for 7 minutes. We have a recording of the phone call where all of the above information was explained. *** refused to pay her bill so her debt was sent to a collection agency a year ago. When they could not collect payment in nine months they sold they debt to another agency which owns your debt. Once we sell off a collection debt we are not suppose to have any contact with the debtor and *** will need to work with them directly since they own the debt.
