Mr. [redacted] ordered flowers for his wife on our website.  Since the order was for out of our delivery area we transferred his order through our florist network to a florist who delivers in Oak Lawn.  This was a real challenge since most florists are not open on Sunday.  We  were...

thrilled to find a florist who would fulfill the order on Sunday.  We sent the order to the florist and they rejected the order because it also required a mylar balloon attached.  We called Mr. [redacted] and offered to have the delivery on Saturday with a balloon through another florist (again, florists closed on Sunday) or Sunday with the original florist, without the balloon, but more value to the flowers. He agreed to the larger arrangement with a Sunday delivery.  We then sent the rejected order back to the first florist and noted that Mr. [redacted] requested late delivery.  The florist delivered the flowers as their last delivery of the day.  The flowers arrived before 3:30 and were left with a co-worker.  The delivery person then called Mrs. [redacted] and left a message that the flowers were left with a co-worker.  Mr. [redacted] is upset that the delivery driver himself did not hand them to Mrs. [redacted].  This was being delivered to a municipal building and drivers are usually not allowed past the reception area, too. Our website offers guaranteed AM or PM delivery for an extra fee, but Mr. [redacted] did not select the guaranteed delivery fee.  When Mr. [redacted] called to tell us he  was very angry that the delivery was made before his wife came to work, I asked him how then flowers looked, and his answer was "fabulous!" I would understand if he was upset if they arrived after she left for the day, but they were there to greet her when she arrived for her shift and they were fabulous.  Mr. [redacted] definitely got his money's worth and beyond.  It's really sad that Mr. [redacted] doesn't realize the high level of service that he did receive from both the filling florist and our shop.
