Review: This business STOLE MONEY FROM ME! Myself and 4 friends walked into this business last night to do karaoke. I paid $20 for my self and my girlfriend with a 20 dollar bill. About 4 minutes later, my girlfriend asked me to pay for her friend so I paid an additional $20 with an additional 20 dollar bill. That makes 2 20 dollar bills in total. After this my friends and I decided not to do karaoke after all and requested our money back. However, I was missing the second $20. The bartender INSISTED I only gave him money once. My friends and I vehemently disputed this and demanded we watch the video, as a security camera was recording the entire incident. We pulled up the video which clearly and unambiguously shows me putting down 2 separate 20 dollar bills in exactly the manner described above. When I gave the second 20$ bill, the video shows the bartender putting the money under the counter, instead of at the register with the rest of our money. Even after observing this indisputable video evidence corroborating my story, the bartender then pretended not to understand, continued saying I only gave him money once, then suggested I call police. When police arrived, a [redacted] officer came and pulled the bar tender aside speaking to him only in [redacted]. After this, we all watched the video together, showing that I paid the 20$ twice. Even after all this, with police even observing the video, the bartender still stuck to his story insisting I only paid once. The police explained to me that whether he took it or not there was nothing they could do because they are unable to see the denomination of the second bill from the video. They refused to take a report or assure me in any way that the video would not be deleted. I was forced to leave, money stolen from me, with the bartender flashing me a final smirk as I walked out the door.THIS BUSINESS STOLE MY MONEY. It appears that they have a pattern or practice of this nature from their [redacted] reviews. Something must be done so that this does not continue.Desired Settlement: I demand that my $20 be returned to me. That is all.
