Kama'aina One Source

Kama’aina One Service (formally Kama’aina Cleaning) run by Dennis and Tammie K promised that our 2 vacation rentals would be well taken care of and perform better than ever. They were in charge of property management, on island contact for guests, yard maintenance, check-out cleaning, and repairs. They said that they know what is needed to make our places successful and that we did not need to worry that we are off-island. Instead, they dropped services promised, invoiced for repairs that were incorrectly performed, and caused our reputation on the VRBO website to be severely damaged. In the 5 months that they oversaw our places, we received more complaints, and had to give out more refunds for lack of property management and cleaning, than in the 4 years we have been renting the guest rentals. It started at the very beginning when we asked for them to first attend to the minor repairs that were needed. They could not give us any estimates as to how much it would cost and would avoid the requests. When it was clear that they dropped communication, we flew to the islands and witnessed the true scope of their lack of work and management that they invoiced. We found our house and yard looking overgrown and abandoned with large amounts of trash underneath and evidence that a homeless person was living there! We had to re-repair everything they invoiced including blinds, light fixtures, lanai, door, and a stovetop where they took a piece of our window trim and glued it to the stove. It was heartbreaking that the issues pointed out by our guests in our horrible reviews were true. They ignored calls and emails, promised to call back, email and never did. When we line itemed the issues and asked for a partial refund, they did not address any of our complaints. Instead they emailed that they will see us in court.
