As Stated by the Business.Yes it is our standard policy to charge for missed appointments; however if this gentleman would have asked to speak to a manager, we would of happily
reversed the mistaken charge. Reversing charges is not something the front desk staff is authorized to do. We will call him and make that adjustment on his account. Thank you for the update

Review: I was charged 130.00 for a 3x laser hair removal treatment for my entire face. The first session consisted of a ten minute laser removal session from a nurse. The laser removal consisted of seven zaps and the session was over. As I made my way to the restroom hair follicles will visible around my lips, including side burn hair follicles. Immediately I was dissatisfied and hoped to see results the next session. I live about half an hour away from thousand oaks, the drive was longer than the session! I returned for a second treatment and it was exactly the same. I am now requesting for a full refund, not only am I completely dissatisfied, I am finding myself to be in a situation that if completely uncomfortable! The business managers have yet returned any of my calls, the front desk representatives aren't of any help, they just keep telling me to accept the fact that they don't do refunds. I WOULDN'T RECOMEND THIS SPA TO ANYONE I KNOW! Worst experience ever!Desired Settlement: Full refund

Review: I called Kalologie on December 1, 2012 to schedule my IPL facial appointment from the Living Social voucher I purchase. At this time [redacted] informed me of a Laser Hair Removal Special that they were having and I agreed to purchase the Brazilian series for $238.00. I scheduled my appointment for Saturday, 12 January 2013. This would include the IPL and the first Laser session. The day of my appointment they informed me that the IPL usually requires 3 sessions to be successful so I agreed and purchased the two additional sessions, along with a laser hair removal for my underarms. The IPL facial burned my face (I have pictures) and after meeting with Kalologie's doctor, Dr. Jane, was informed that I wasn't a candidate for this procedure because of my dark skin. Now almost 4 months later I still have visible scars. Dr. Jane said I would get a full refund right away. They said they would refund the 3 IPL facials, which they didn't in full, but I told them I didnt want to do any more procedures because of the burn. I have tried to resolve this issue with Kalologie, specifically dealing with Patty Rappa and it has been a nightmare. I have a timeline of events along with all emails that were exchanged and you will see how unpleasant this has been. One of the first things they told me when I came in with my burned face is that they had never had that happen. Which I found to be untrue. I was approached by a lady, Natalia Iapina about joining her in a lawsuit against Kalologie because they also burned her face during an IPL facial. This is not something I want, I'm not looking to get more money than what I paid. I just want my money refunded in full for all procedures purchased and not used.Desired Settlement: Services that I would like refunded totaling $584.001.Living Social charge for IPL facial $892.Kalologie for Bikini Laser Removal $2383.Kalologie 2 Additional IPL Facials and underarm Laser Removal $257Patty Rappa, did agree to refund the full IPL facials for a total of $267-$222.50 to credit card and check for $44.50. Each IPL session was $89. Received check for $44.50 and refund of $189.65 to my credit card (shortage of $32.85). Total refund requested is $349.85.

Review: On May 25, 2013 I had an appointment for a facial and massage which I purchased on Groupon for $89 - one 50-minute Swedish massage, and DNA repair or Brightening facial with aromatherapy for Kalologie. I purchased the Groupon on May 6, 2013. In the fine print the details also state I will receive 10% off merchandise.During my massage/facial the esthetician Shirley Wilkerson was great, but during the appointment there was a band playing in the promenade area outside of the spa which was not relaxing, as the noise came through the walls like a pounding sound. After my appointment I was introduced to a few products by Shirley and purchased them. 1 All-in-one Cleanser for $22.50 and 10% off, and 1 Balancing Moisturizing Lotion for $75.00 and 10% off. I gave Shirley a $20.00 tip and I bought another $89.00 massage/facial from an in store promotion and scheduled my appointment for June 15, 2013 with the receptionist. When I was leaving the store, Kim Pourahmad, the owner approached me and apologized for the noise and informed me that she asked the band to stop playing during my appointment. I told her I really enjoyed the care that Shirley paid to me and I walked away. Then Shirley ran out of the spa and called for me to return. She then informed me that I was overcharged for the Balancing Moisturizing Lotion, which I was only supposed to pay $35.00. The receptionist and Kim Pourahmad both discussed the issue of price of the product and that the smaller bottle of balancing moisturizer was not listed in their inventory of products in the register and that was why I was overcharged. I then asked for a refund of the $40.00. The receptionist then informed me that refunds were not given and that I could make an additional purchase to make up the difference. I looked at the owner Kim and then she stated, well, I could give you cash from my personal funds. I said, if you are ok with that, then that is fine with me. Then the receptionist said you could purchase another package. I relented and then purchased another massage/facial for an additional $49.00, which I was told would be available to me whenever I decided to schedule the appointment. I asked her if this amount of $40.00 would be notated in my account so that at the time I came to use it I wouldnt have to explain the situation that occurred with the overcharge. On June 3, 2013 I phoned Kalologie and spoke with Ryan. I asked her if I could use the $178.00 that I had in my account toward a different treatment than what I purchased (two massage/facials). First Ryan stated that I the customer could not do that, and that I had to use the amount charged for the treatment purchased. I questioned her by stating that I purchased $178.00 worth of treatment and that I should be able to use it as I pleased. Ryan asked for my name and then looked up my account information. She stated that she saw that my account only had $89.00 + $49.00 and that the other $40.00 was not accounted for. I was furious and I asked her if there were any notes about the overcharge of $40.00? She said no and asked me what I was overcharged for. I explained to her about Shirley running out to me and the conversation with the owner Kim and the receptionist. Ryan then stated, Kim and the receptionist should not have done that and Shirley would have no idea what the prices are and the price of the balancing moisturizing lotion was in deed $75.00. I said I would like to speak with Kim please, Ryan stated that Kim was not available and was a new owner and would not know the prices like she does as she is the assistant manager. More furious, I said I would like to cancel my appointment for the 15th and receive a full refund of $178.00, please! Ryan said, we do not give refunds and if you want one you will have to write a letter to Kolologie Corporate.I then stated to her that the tiny little bottle that I purchased could not have been $75.00 and she was mistaken as well as the fact that the owner Kim also agreed. She described the bottle of lotion that I bought and I agreed to the description. She said, ok that bottle is only $35.00 and relented to the $40.00 dispute. Then I asked her if I could use my $178.00 for a different treatment and then she proceeded to tell me again that I could not do that. I said, that doesnt make sense, you have my money and all I want instead of a massage/facial is a chemical peel. Ryan then says, OH! Well, you can do that, she then said you could do it if you wanted BOTOX & Dysport or Juvederm & Restylane. I said well why didnt you say that in the first place? I scheduled my appointment for July 2, 2013 at 12:00pm.Desired Settlement: Since this experience I have been thinking about that conversation and the refund issue and I am very weary of keeping my appointment with this company. I do not trust them and I am afraid that my appointment will not exist and that the $40.00 refund will not be accepted. Ryan was very brash with me and made me feel very uncomfortable. I would like to pursue getting back my $178.00 and never going back to this business again.

Review: I had a appointment scheduled for a facial and a massage on 7/5/14 that I called and canceled and rescheduled for 7/12/14. I called and rescheduled the appointment on 6/25/14 at 2:19pm. I received a call from Kalologie on 7/5/14 informing me that they did not have a record of my canceled appointment. I explained to the individual that I spoke with that I had canceled my appointment and reschedule it for 7/12/14. She must not have believed me because she told me that I would be charged $25 for not showing up to my appointment. I was going to pay for the service using a gift card that my wife purchased for me. I asked for my money back and she said that was not possible.Desired Settlement: I request that I am not charged the $25 fee since I called and rescheduled my appointment or for a full refund of my gift card.

Review: I went to Kalologie of Thousand Oaks on 8-9-13 and purchased 7 treatments of lower leg lazer hair removal for $484.00. Each treatment is performed every two months and I was promised by the nurses and Pattie the owner that after 14 to 15 months of treatments that I would see 90% hair reduction on my lower legs. I am complaining to the Revdex.com because I have seen ZERO results from this expensive treatment and I was promised I would see results. I have politely asked for my $484.00 back about 3 times since October and have been treated very rudely. I feel like I was taken advantage of and lied to about results. I feel like they got off easy with my money. I was also lied to about pictures of my legs. I was told that in November they would take pictures of my legs so they could see the bad results and when I got there they refused to do it. The receptionist and owner also said that if I wanted better results I would have to pay more money which just emphasizes the fact that all they want is money. I was also told by the receptionist that they had customers who could afford to pay more than me and for that reason they didn't really need my business and that to buy more treatments the price would triple. I have tried to be nice to these people and have tried to get my money back by sending emails to them but they are rude and just don't care. I just want my $484.00 back because I did not get what was promised to me and none of it is my fault as they say. They have said I have too many male testosterone hormones in my body and that is why this isn't working. well I went to a doctor and that isn't true. I was also told to go pay to go see their nurse about this issue which just tells me they just want me to go see her so she can tell me lies about my hormones. I just want my money back for bad results and for being lied to.Desired Settlement: I simply want my $484.00 back. I was lied to, given terrible results and treated rudely. For all of those reasons I just want my $484.00 back which is only a portion of the money I have spent with these rude people over the last year.
