It's been a while, since I have been there, as I moved farther away from that location. I am sad to see that that location is permanently closed now? I have always had good service from Ahmad, and then from Mehmed, after Ahmad moved to the Fort Saskatchewan Kal-Tire.
I asked Kal-Tire Head Office in Vernon, if I can have my winter tires swapped with my summer tires, for free at another Kal-Tire location. They responded with no, they no longer offer that.
I will never go to any Kal-Tire to have anything done. I have already ordered two expensive tires for my other car from someone else.
Careful while ordering tire chains! At first they only offer you one single option, not providing any detail at all. OK, placed them on order. Then after getting them, I found them very heavy (9.5 Kg). Found a much lighter offer on Amazon (2.5 Kg), for less than half the price. Trying to return the Kal Tire chains no more than two hours later after buying them, the store manager just shouted "no returns on chains!" and turned the back on me. Conclusion: I went to Kal Tire for trying helping the brick and mortar stores against Amazon, but they make it really hard!

I have had two negative experiences with Kal tireMake sure you get any kind of quote in writing before the work is doneOne location tried to charge me more for a tractor tire repair than what I was quoted on the phone (they also replaced my chrome cap with a cheap plastic one, only noticed it a week later)The second was over trailer tires that I bought loose to have installed later and was charged to install, when I contacted another Kal tire the quoted the original price I paid installed was told different independent Kal tires can charge different prices ($difference) I find this hard to believe

Bad experience regarding company's customer care plan.
When I bought the tires they let me to believe that tires change ( winter to summer) is cover by the customer care plan .(tires rotation)...When I have requested the service they considered that I have misunderstood their offer!
Eventually I was accepting to pay for service however tires on rim balance was not offered!
Informed company customer service department but I found the same attitude...
It seems that the company profitability plans include playing with the contract words and client confusion related to - always in the advantage of this service provider.
Avoid this company!
Re Kal Tire Langley Bypass Nov2015- After winter wheel change I was told my struts and shocks needed replacing-nowAlso noted , my wipers were streaking and they would replace them My wipers were replaced wksprior to Kal noteI returned to the shop that had replaced my struts and shocks early and was assured they were fine Apr2016- Wheel change over [ free as I bought them at Kal Tire ] and was told I needed a wheel alignment, quoted $Took car to above shop that did struts, was told my car needed minimal realignment to front wheels only [rears not adjustable] $charge Have been dealing with this Kal tire for over years, After these recent events I will not return and will not recommend them to anyone
I noticed Kal-Tire’s customer service is not as good as before in current year. Now they don’t wrap up your tires up with the plastic bags. They just put the dirty tires in your trunk and made the dirty prints in the car here and there.:( Also they no long honor their promise to swap tires for free if you purchased the winter tires from them(the promise was stated ads and in the purchase receipts).
Re Kal Tire 20520 Langley Bypass.
Nov. 2015- After winter wheel change I was told my struts and shocks needed replacing-now. Also noted , my wipers were streaking and they would replace them.
My wipers were replaced 3 wks. prior to Kal note. I returned to the shop that had replaced my struts and shocks early 2015 and was assured they were fine.
Apr. 2016- Wheel change over [ free as I bought them at Kal Tire ] and was told I needed a wheel alignment, quoted $115.00. Took car to above shop that did struts, was told my car needed minimal realignment to front wheels only [rears not adjustable] $69.00 charge.
Have been dealing with this Kal tire for over 10 years, After these recent events I will not return and will not recommend them to anyone.
Kal tire branch at [redacted] is a [redacted] regading customer service, avoid this facilty at all costs. [redacted]

November 13/2015. We experienced a flat tire while my wife and I were traveling from Victoria B.C. to Trail B.C. on a typicaly blustery B.C. day for an evening event . I stopped at two large retail automotive retailers only to be turned away both times. They were booked solid and did not have time on the friday to even put on my spare. Not impressed I was looking for a dry spot to put on my spare myself in my good clothes when I pulled into KAL-TIRE on Lickman Road in Chilliwak. Tom [redacted] and his curteous staff looked after us even though he was busy running his establishment. He took time to look after KAL TIRE customers from another city, refused payment as my tires are purchesed at KAL-TIRE of course , and said after I thanked him " we just get things done here." Went in today (Dec 31/13) to have my tire repaired. Found out that they stripped the inside of my locking lug nut key. I talked to them and asked them to cover the bill to replace the key, as I need it to get my tires off. The guy said absolutely not. He continued to say that he did not use a torque on it or it would be stripped both ways. [redacted].Product_Or_Service: Tire RepairDesired SettlementI would like them to cover the bill of my having to take my truck to another shop in the city to get the tire off and replace the nuts and key. [redacted]Business Response While I understand the customers displeasure with the problem he has had with his vehicle, it was not the fault of the work done at KalTire. Nor was it avoidable. In the process of trying to remove his tire at our shop, we used the lockkey on his wheel with our regular impact gun as we would with any other wheel we remove. When the impact gun failed to remove the locked wheel nut, we proceeded by using a 3-foot manual breaker bar. As this can provide a greater, steadier force, that can remove many stuck wheels. In this case, when we used the breaker bar on the locking wheel nut with the lockkey, it started to turn and then slipped. When we inspected the socket after it slipped, it was obvious that the key was rounding off. In the course of our work, we see this on a somewhat regular basis. The cause of this problem, like any other stuck wheelnut, is from over-torquing during the previous installation of the tire assembly. As we had not previously worked on this vehicle, it is not the fault of KalTire that the lockkey was rounded off. Under these circumstances, the same result could have happened at any shop. The fact that another shop got the nut off with a new lock key is beside the point in this instance. As it is most likely that during our attempt to remove the locking nut, the nut was actually slightly loosened before rounding the lockkey. Because the cause of this problem was not due to KalTire's work on this vehicle, [redacted]Finally, had this problem been due to a tire/wheel installation that KalTire had performed, we would gladly take care of the problem at no cost to our customer. However this problem was not caused by KalTire, [redacted]Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I still do not agree with kal tire. The manager told me that they were jumping on a snipe to loosen the nut....ni wonder the key stripped. Then he told me that he did not use an impact on it. The shop that did my previous rotation told me that they either used an impact or didnt have the key on properly. [redacted] When I was at the shop getting the lug nut off I myself saw how little effort taken to take the nut off. I also witnessed them using a propely set torque wrench to set the lug nuts which means they were not over torqued. All I requested from them was a replacement set of keys for which they damaged. Not too much to ask.
