Review: Good morning,
My wife, [redacted], signed a contract with [redacted]'s Karate in October of 2011 for 2 years. We have been trying to cancel our contract with [redacted]'s Karate, which is now called K2 Martial Arts, since August of last year. We have followed the contractual terms in order to cancel the contract, however [redacted]'s Karate (now K2 Martial Arts) refuses to cancel our contract. We have since attempted to contact [redacted]'s Karate (now K2 Martial Arts) numerous times but have received no reply.
My sister-in-law, [redacted], has also been trying to cancel her contract since October.Desired Settlement: We demand a refund for the last 5 months that they have charged us at $80 a month.

Response:
April 28, 2014Dear **. [redacted],In response to **. [redacted]'s complaint concerning his wife's membership with our school we wish to resolve this issue for them. Our policy, as written in our membership agreements, states that cancellations must be in writing and sent to our school by certified mail. Although we do have a cancellation letter dated ,September 14, 2013 it appears to be a copy since the date on the certified letter envelope is April 17, 2014. If they can submit a certified letter receipt with an earlier date, we will be happy to adjust the cancellation date and (if) any refund accordingly.Sincerely,
