We were having a problem with our built-in microwave so my husband called KP on Nov 30th or Dec 1st & was told by the man who answered he would call him back later that day or the next b4 my husband even got a chance to tell him why he was calling. He never returned his call. My husband called again on Dec 14th & talked to a woman who answered who apologized for not getting back to us. The woman was friendly & helpful & set up an appointment for Fri 18th between 1 & 3. We sat around waiting until the guy finally showed up at 3:30 with no heads up he was running late. The guy wasn’t very friendly & didn’t seem too worried about our problem, especially when I told him what I read when I Googled the issue we were having. He thought it might be the Keypad & would check prices & get back to us. It must’ve been the same guy who answered our first call bcuz we still haven’t heard from him today Jan 5th! Piss poor customer service & they lost another customer!

First, let me say that I have bought from KP Appliance on several different occasions and have had them come out for 4 different service calls. Each of them has been very good experiences before today.

Here's what happened: My oven broke and I called KP and asked for a price and part number for an ignitor for my oven. I got the price, but I didn't get the part number. When I asked the guy, Frank, why I couldn't double check the part number, he hung up on me mumbling something about I'll probably just buy it online. I tried to call back and he put me on hold. Shocked and upset, I drove to the store wanting to talk to the owner or manager. That person was gone on a service call, and Frank asked if he could help me. I asked him if the company's policy was to hang up on their customers. He was completely disrespectful and lied to me saying that he didn't hang up, but instead put me on hold. I asked him if he usually doesn't tell his customers before putting them on hold. No response. I then told him that typically before purchasing an item I like to comparison shop to make sure I'm getting a good price. He said that most people who call and ask for part numbers just buy the part online. I told him that that was a generalization and that I had not decided where I was going to buy the part. I asked if they were affiliated with the Revdex.com and he got mad and said I need to leave right now. I left.

What upsets me the most is that I never got a chance to talk to the owner nor did they allow me the opportunity to talk with him/her. Unfortunately, they have lost my business for good, and maybe after reading this, yours as well.

This is who you want to do business with when it comes to appliances. I found their prices to be as good or better than the sale prices at the 'big box' stores. KP's service both before and after the sale is awesome. I recently purchased a G.E. dish washer, range and refridgerator from them. They made several trips to our house, accompdating our remodeling schedule, to install these appliances.
At least 35 years ago, they sold me my first (used) washer and dryer and did very occasional repairs on them for years and years, always telling me that I didn't really need to buy new ones. They have always treated me more than fairly. Further, they are a locally owned, small business and a valuable asset to our community. Nice people too.
