Review: K & L was paid a deposit to perform work that was to be finished prior to Labor Day (XXXX). They have not performed the work or returned the deposit.

On July 18th, 2013 K & L Designs accepted a deposit for half of the project to manufacture and install a 42" x 96" outdoor LED sign. We paid them the required deposit ($750.00, check number [redacted] cleared on 7/19/2013)to start production which was to be 4 to 6 weeks. We were told they would start production immediately and that we would be sent a proof on the graphics in 3- 4 weeks. We never heard again from them so by the fifth week so we tried to contact them. With no luck on getting the phone calls returned we tried email. We did get a response stating that they are running behind but the install should be done the first week of September. They avoided our communications from there on. We ended up closing our business a couple weeks ago to go to their office and talked personally to [redacted] (10/8/13). [redacted] stated that he was sorry and that they are not going to be able to finish the project. I asked for our money back and he stated that he would process it that evening. Again, no more response to our communications and have not received our refund. Since our business is young and new, we are not in the position to keep closing it, to get ignored again and we need those funds to be able to have someone respectable to do our sign.Desired Settlement: Since we are not in the charity business or banking business we believe that they have used our funds long enough for free. We are requesting a full refund. We have not been provided neither a service or a product.
