that individual serial number is assigned to a purchaser it is now a used gun that can be traced back to the buyer. If a consumer purchases a firearm and takes it home, disassembles it and reassembles it we cant just expect that it will function properly and pass it on to the next customer as new just hoping that nothing goes wrong. This is why if there is a problem we offer to send the firearm back to the manufacturer for repairs. We also have no way in knowing if the firearm was used in the commission of a crime while in the hands of the new owner. This customer stated that we did not test the firearm before the sale. We can not fire the products we sell this is done by the manufacturer before shipping. If we were to fire the firearm it would then be a used product not to mention Midwest Gun Exchange does not have a range to fire in.
Our sales staff is trained to be courteous and helpful. Since I have nothing but an anonymous complaint I can't provide specifics on who this customer dealt with but I can say that our staff is full of people who are firearms enthusiasts themselves and they are genuinely concerned with positively promoting not only Midwest Gun Exchange, but the industry as a whole. With over 80,000 customers we still take each and every complaint seriously but in this case I don't know what more could have been dine to rectify this situation.
