***, Please find my resolution below addressing the issue with the microwave(hood)Resolution: [redacted] contacted KHovnanian's homeowner services on 4-10-Stating it appeared the microwave (hood) has no outside ventingThe issue was assigned to [redacted] in homeowners servicesA technician was assigned the same day the complaint was receivedThe technician found the microwave (hood) was installed correctly and it is installed the same in all the other townhomes in the communityThe technician further explained to the homeowners that the microwave is a self venting microwave and does not need outside venting.Respectively, [redacted] ***

Very thorough and great experience with KHov. Few exception: miscommunication with sales department and the experience at home design selection was not great -- hard to envision what a design would look like in a home if they just offer you a 4x4 piece of a stone. However, the overall experience has been great with KHov and if there's another KHov home available in my area, I would go through them again because I know they really strive to ensure all homebuyers are satisfied from the beginning to the end.

We have a beautiful home built by KHovnanian!! The craftsmanship is exceptional and we just love everything about our Tomasen model! Having a home built can be very stressful and there are often problems that happen along the way; however, it's not the problems that one remembers, but the effort to resolve them KHovnanian resolved all our problems to our satisfaction and in the end we have a beautiful, well built home!!

The entire process from Sales Management to Construction and Loan Processing was conducted in an outstanding, totally professional, yet friendly manner We are more than satisfied with the quality of the home built and were so satisfied that we purchased a second one in the same development

Buying my first home was really a dream come true I am grateful for the entire process Everyone involved was so professional and kind and knowledgeable Together they made this process smooth and extremely gratifying I recommend KHovnanian homes without reservation

I am rejecting this response because:
The issue REMAINS UNRESOLVED!! NO ONE IS DOING ANYTHING NOR ARE THEY ATTEMPING TO DO THE REPAIRS!!!Water is STILL coming into my home causing damage to the property and I am sure there is mold and/or dry rotting as a result. The beams can be easily located because they are CLEARLY visible on th walls. The window seals are literally splitting, there is water damage at ALL entry/exit area to door trim, window seal, wood floors, etc. The drywall around the windows is buckled/warped from the damagesSomeone came here, however, he was blaming others for their lack of sufficiency. There is water coming in from around the actual glass pane, windows are cracking for no reason, the water is damaging the wood floors, the house stays cold because there is NO TYVEK behind the siding and the siding keeps getting blow off. The house is NOT energy efficient as claimed, it is cost more in my utilities!! The case was closed assuming the company resolved the issues: WELL THEY HAVE NOT!!!!! Just as they did prior the Company doesn't even have the decency to return phone calls nor do they exhibit ANYA effort to fix what are CLEARLY BUILDER DEFECTS!!!! FIX ALL AREAS CAUSING DAMAGES, REPLACE ALL DAMAGES AND CLAIMANT BE MADE WHOLE!!!!

K Hovnanian designed the perfect layout that met the needs of my family. I had a positive experience with the entire process. The entire staff was friendly, patient, and professional.

This was our 4th new home build and the experience was exceptional compared to previously builds. It was a great choice for us and would recommend K. Hovnanian for future builds.

My experience purchasing a new home through K Hovnanian was exceptional! The staff, specifically Cliff M[redacted] treated my husband and me with the utmost respect, never made any promises that couldn't be kept and delivered our home timely! We needed a few repairs after moving in and Jason H[redacted] (K Hov Home Service Center) responded to our call effectively and efficiently! K Hov Rocks!!

I have purchased homes in three different states, with Maryland being my third purchase. This is the most engaged that I have been with the builder and I greatly appreciate it. That relationship continues now, even though I am in my home and settling in. When I saw that KHOV was the builder, I was ecstatic because of the reputation this builder has. I am so very pleased with my home - I simply love it. The attention I was provided by the builder's team was phenomenal and important. That type of interaction is invaluable, but it is also unfortunately rare - not many builders or builders' agents are as caring.

This letter is in response to **. [redacted]’s complaint.  K Hovnanian’s goal is to make sure our
homebuyers are satisfied with their home and in tandem a satisfactory or...

better
experience throughout the process.  In
reference to her claim that occurred in November, 2013, **. [redacted] set up an
appointment to proceed with a contract and failed to make the scheduled
appointment.  **. [redacted], our sales
consultant, was advised by **. [redacted]’s realtor that her client was not ready to
make the decision to move forward.   
Upon **. [redacted]’s return to purchase the home **. [redacted] and her realtor
was treated with the utmost respect and integrity.
After my conversation on June 16, 2014 with **. [redacted] as
well as with our Regional President,  [redacted]
[redacted], it was clear as well as acknowledged by **. [redacted] that it was very
important that we have a happy customer and we were leaving the decision up to
**. [redacted] to move forward without the hardwood on the first floor.  We provided **. [redacted] the choice to terminate
the agreement without any penalties if she was unable to move forward
accordingly and be satisfied with the purchase before and after closing as her
grievance appeared very upsetting to **. [redacted]. 
After several days and further clarification via e mail from **. [redacted]
and me so she can make her final decision on the purchase itself on June 18,
2014 she informed us that she would like to indeed move forward.
There are supporting e mails on the conversations that took
place with **. [redacted] since she raised her concerns on June 13, 2014 through an
e mail from her realtor, [redacted].   **. [redacted] decided to take the discount of the
design center credit off the sales price of her home at the time of contract.  If she chose to utilize that credit towards
the design center options, her hardwood price could have been part of the
credit.  **. [redacted]’s hardwood credit was
reallocated when she elected to receive the advertised incentive off the
original sales price of her home at the time of purchase.
