I contacted JVI Secret Gardens to have my 20xKoi Pond cleanedDerek came and looked at the project and quoted $1,to clean itI was apprehensive because it was $more than a cleaning I had done three years previous but was assured of how great they were, how professional and all the things they would doI should have been weary at the outset because it seemed that all Derek wanted to do was up-sell me on expensive accessoriesI ended up paying over $2,with new filters, bio-balls, etcIt took two men less than a full day to preform the job and would have taken less had I not taken a day off work to oversee the work and repot the water liliesWithin three days the entire bottom of the pond was covered with algaeI contacted JVI and Derek had no desire to come look at my problem to assess the problemOriginally he said that was and within a couple more weeks, when the beneficial bacteria built up, it would clear upAfter it did not clear I called again and he said I needed to be more aggressive with algae treatmentHe suggested some more treatments but at this point my trust in his professed expertise has dwindledI am not impressed with his customer service after getting paidI will not use him again and suggest you also be cautiousMy pond did have a lot of algae in it, though not the long string typeThat is why I wanted a, so called, professional to clean itDerek has returned all my calls and sent information on more chemicals I can purchaseFor the money and work performed I feel I was short changed and should have gotten moreIt looks almost as bad as it did before the cleaning
