Ladies and Gentlemen:
This is the letter no one wishes to write however it appears to be my last recourse to correct an otherwise distasteful situation.
September 10 this year I delivered my name and address dyes for a new business/personal card to be made up with my recently appointed Pawnee Indian tribal name. And left a suggested 50% deposit of $500 on my [redacted] credit card for requested new dyes and 500 cards. September 25, two weeks later, as enclosed email indicates, was first input and basically only input regarding order/make-up of cards from [redacted] of Just Paper. 3232 P Street, Northwest, Washington, DC 20007 (tel: [redacted]).
October 5 my email requests cancellation of the order as future print changes were in the offing. October 6 **. [redacted] responds accordingly.
October 12 received my [redacted] statement with the 9/10/13 $500 Just Paper charge at which time I called [redacted] to have that amount deleted as I had cancelled the order. October 13, explaining in email visit delay caused by minor medical discomfort, followed up by visit to store to collect my two (name and address) dyes I was told they “are in the mail”. Every week thereafter I stopped by and each time was told “being delivered,” “expecting delivery this afternoon”, etc.
Most recently, week of October 28,1 shared with proprietor my [redacted] deletion of Just Paper’s charge and was told I must change that back otherwise credit to me could not be made.
November 6, after eight weeks I finally stopped by store and learned “dyes sent to Massachusetts manufacturer may have been lost but were being FedEx-ed (to arrive that afternoon)”, store manager had called [redacted] to continue $500 charge!
I stated that if the dyes were not received by the next day (yesterday) I would be forced to seek other recourses such as Revdex.com, Consumer Affairs, [redacted], possibly local list server as to my unbelievable eight week experience better described as a six weeks runaround. **. [redacted] said she did not know my address — this on a potential business card
(with name, address, telephone and email) purchase I reminded her. She also said she would have her husband (store partner/business manager?) that afternoon delete the $500 charge from my [redacted] card.
This is so unfortunate because the previous orders/business with this neighborhood store were so satisfactory and main reason I sought to continue doing business there. However, I am not equipped to provide an interest free $500 loan to a small business when [redacted] expects me to pay within a certain period of time and/or pay interest or late fee for the $500 basically stolen since October 6 cancellation to Just Paper of my order.
All I wish are my original, not inexpensive, two dyes or replacement costs and credit for the $500 on my [redacted] statement. An apology would be helpful.
Revdex.com, anything you can do to assist me in resolving this dilemma will be greatly appreciated.
