Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: That is not an accurate description of what occurred. As previously laid out - I chose approx 8 fabrics, based on those choices I was given the estimate. I showed the business photos of the furniture at the fist meeting and the second meeting was in my home, where she saw the furniture and we verified the last 2 fabrics and the way the chairs were to be finished. I was given an estimate at the original meeting of $2000.00 for all the pieces. And in my home, I was told it could vary up to $2500.00 which I agreed to and allowed her to take one of the pieces. Once I picked the final 2 fabrics, I was asked for a deposit of approx $1174.00 for half the balance owed on 4 pieces. SO it went from a max of $2500.00 for 7 pieces to $2349.00 for 4 pieces. THEN she refused to return my furniture unless I paid her $130.00. It should be noted all of the first transaction was in the presence of a third party who can verify what I am saying. Furthermore, I have text messages from the business wherein she refuses to return my chair unless I pay her $130.00. This is not the first time a customer has had issues with her on this exact same issue of giving a price, then upping it and refusing to honor the bid and/or return the furniture. It is nothing short of deceptive. Finally, I have since dealt with 2 other upholstery businesses and the "upgrades" she attempts to claim are the reason for the price increase are standard for upholstering and the fabric price does not take the chairs in to the realm she was attempting to charge. She can sure charge what she wants, but she cannot give a bid that falls within industry standards and THEN up that price based on false representations. Sincerely,[redacted]
