I came in for a consultation to get my hair done at the salon. The next day I came back for my appointment. When I checked out they told me that my total was $220. I was never given an estimate of what I would be charged, but based off the prices they have listed on their website for the specific stylist, ***, I was not expecting it to be anywhere near this price. As soon as I left I double checked the website and the rates. I am mediately sent an email to the business asking to see an itemized receipt as they did not give me one when I checked out. I let her know that I felt like I was overcharged and would like to see an itemized copy. She said she would have it back to me by the end of the day and I have still yet to receive it. I have emailed her back but still nothing. It seems to me like the stylist did extra things without without asking me and then charge me for them. For instants she curled my hair at the end and I told her I didn’t want it done. I never asked for this and therefore should not have been charged for it. It seems like there have been some other services added on as well, but since they won’t send me an itemized receipt I can’t tell. All I know is that I was vastly overcharged. Another issue I had was with the sanitation. The stylist pulled a round brush from the drawer and begin blow drying my hair. I am sitting facing a mirrorSo I can see everything she’s doing. I could clearly tell that the brush she was using had hair left over from the previous client. I didn’t know what to say or how to address it. At this point I was pretty much over the stylus. In the beginning she didn’t really pay much attention to what it is that I wanted. I also had asked for a certain cut my hair. She never gave me a mirror to see the back of my hair in the cut she had done, but when I get home I could clearly see that she ignored when I had asked for. All around multiple issues and still no receipt from the owner.
It is true that I said I would send her a receipt by end of day. Which I did but we discovered today (with a follow up email)the email address in our system was not correct. I did not follow through on Sunday as I wanted to be sure to speak with the stylist. Today the guest and I came to an agreement and understanding. First I will be implementing new consultation forms for accuracy in pricing of services. Secondly, I will be retraining the whole team on sanitation. We have done several trainings on this and I am prideful on the cleanliness of the salon but will definitely be retouching on personal equipment. The guest and I had a verbal conversation Monday afternoon to hear directly from her to allow us to come up with a resolution. Which is refunding her $30 that she was unaware of the added charge and once we meet we will discuss what needs to be corrected in her hair for her desired results.!i do believe we will come up with a resolution. And any redo will be complimentary.
Thank You!
