Bought used truck aprox 3 years old. Was given a life time warranty power train warranty with sale which jubilee ford is not standing up to now
Transmission problem and warranty given to me wasnt explained properly and unable to meet commitment because of occupation. Long haul truck driver on road months at a time and pickup sits at home while on road. Told that if im 1 day over my 6 months oil change warranty is canceled.being on highway anywhere in north america there is no way I can can be home right on 6 months for oil change. ***. Been in trucking industry 33 years and farmed before that but he told me oil breaks down in 6 months even if truck sits and isnt driven. I have yet to see an expire date on an oil container. I talked to *** and he said the same thing. *** said if a sports car sits all winter in a garage oil has to be changed cause its started to break down.
Fix my truck on warranty. This is an issue between jubilee ford and warranty company. There policy only works for people in city 7 days a week 52 weeks a year not for truck drivers gone months at a time. Bought used truck cause of warranty that they knew I would fail being back for on time for oil changes. There using excuses after giving me warranty to not pay.
Both *** (CEO/PRESIDENT) and *** (COO) are fully aware of this situation and stand behind the decision on this matter. We (Jubilee Ford) sold this customer a truck with a Lifetime Powertrain Loyalty Certificate. This signed contract by the customer and dealer states that if regular maintenance and/or an oil change and tire rotation is completed at our dealership every 6 month or 8,000 kilometers, the customer will have coverage (with a $200 deductible) on a catastophic failure to the engine, transmission and drive train. In this case the customer did not live up to the minimum requirements of an oil change and tire rotation every 6 months or 8,000 kilometers. Therefore no coverage will be in place going forward under this certificate. This certificate was given to the customer Free of Charge with the purchase of his vehicle. This certificate did not affect the manufacturer warranty or requirements of the manufacturer. This is simply a loyalty certificate that has guidelines that were not followed by the customer. The dealer has offered the customer a discounted rate on repair if done at Jubilee Ford, which the customer declined. Nothing more can be done to satisfy the customer in this case that is reasonable to the current situation.
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I was never offered a discounted offer on repairs so that makes it hard to decline something that was never offered. ***.
