Jordan Built Homes

When I purchased my home, I had it inspected. There were many things found to be wrong. Most of them fixed and some I did myself to ensure they were fixed properly. They were also using the water once people purchased their homes to water the landscape, so it a ran up the owner's water bill. The head construction guy waa going into people's homes after they started moving in. I would not recommend buying a home from them. They really should not be in business.

The roof of our home recently had a leak after the ice/snow storm in January. A home maintenance expert came and inspected the roof. He found that the roof was not installed correctly and there were several exposed nails. This means the nail head can rust and fall off. It was also determined that the shingles on the roof weren't properly installed and we have samples of this in our garage. The house was built and sold May 1012. We bought the house from the original owner in May 2013. We contacted JordanBuilt and they told us that the warranty expired in May 2013 (that it is only a one year warranty). We were told to consult a 210 home owners warranty which we looked into. However, we learned that this warranty 210 only addresses the foundation and weight bearing support beams. We reviewed this with an attorney (we have [redacted]) There is a law called defective improvement which covers something that isn't put in correctly that the owner has a 6 year period to file a claim.[redacted]Product_Or_Service: May 29, 2013Desired SettlementWe would like to be reimbursed for the roofing repairs we paid for to prevent further leaks and damage to our home.
Other buyers and consumers need to be aware of the issues with this builder. We have several neighbors who have had similar issues with JordanBuilt and they have gotten the same response when they are contacted.
