Jones LP Gas & Equipment Service

February 4th 2014, Two men from Jones LP Gas Company came to my home and removed my LP Gas tank. The tank contained gas which I paid for in cash October 4th 2010 in the amount of $85 dollars plus $6.59 in tax for a total of $91.59. This tank is connected to a fireplace in my home that is seldom used as it is primarily used for decoration. The man that removed the tank admitted the tank was full but stated " You haven't used any gas in 3 years so we are here to pick up the tank." The tank did contain gas and I was never advised that I needed to use it or lose it by this company. I am now out a tank which I paid to have installed initially and paid a deposit and paid for their gas but they have now "stolen gas I paid for". I am due a deposit and the contents of the tank from them. The tank was removed along with a regulator that was part of this house when I bought it new.Desired Settlement$91.59 plus the deposit and $100 for the initial cost of reconnecting a tank with a more reputable company. Business Response /[redacted]/We at Jones LP Gas set a 100 lb tank on 10-21-08 and then delivered a refill bottle on 10-04-10. We picked up the tank on 2/4/14 with 71 lb left in the tank. We needed tanks so we could not leave our tank out and not making any revenue, for the past 3 1/2 years We have sent a refund check out on 2/20/14 in the amount of $64.57 for the 71 lb let in the tank.
