Progressive roadside assistance contacted this company on my behalf. After 3 hours of waiting in a hit car with a dog and cat I had to result to using my mom's AAA. Pete's Towing arrived in 15 minutes.
These ppl gave me three excuses in a 3 hour span which consisted of "she" is on the way and will be there in 20/25 minutes, then we are on the scene looking for you, then lastly after 3 hours of waiting they said they don't know why anyone told me they were on the way.
I'll make sure Progressive or no other company use this P.O.S company!
Johns towing & transport inc towed my vehicle on 05/28/Did rear damage to bumperOperating with expired corporation and fiticious name
On 05/28/Johns Towing & transport towed my vehicle from Harbor Oaks apartmentsDoing damage to rear bumper The other problem is this business actually stole my car because they have no license with the state of florida to even tow vehiclesThere corporation and fiticious name expired in This means they are a illegal business
My teenage daughter rear ended someone in my car while I was out of townTow driver shows up and tells her it's "and 5" to tow it to my house about miles away in OldsmarShe assumes that means $She waits for a ride while her boyfriend goes with the driverBoyfriend gives driver 100.00, which isn't enough, so tow driver takes it to their shop in HolidayI talk to driver later and work out the miscommunication, driver agrees to deliver car to house for balance of 70.00, and provide a receipt
Back in town today after being gone weeksCall company to arrange deliveryNow I'm told there's a lien on the vehicle for 'storage' over daysMan on phone, (John I think) continuously hangs up on me when I try to get infoCan't even go get it myself due the lien which I can't affordWas not informed of any storage fees in advanceJohn claims a certified letter was sent, which of course was never received by anyone here
Based on conversations with my daughter and myself later, they obviously wanted the insurance dealVehicle doesn't have collision coverage, so no deal for them, once they learned that suddenly the 'storage lien' was mentioned
On top of that they claim the driver never received the cash initially either (despite driver telling me on the phone that day he did) No receipt was initially provided, so I seem to be out
The whole things seems shady, now I have to file complaints with Revdex.com and see about going through civil courtWhat a giant hassle, never use this company unless you know EXACTLY what you're getting, up front and documented
