John's Flooring

I hired John H of John's Flooring to install a laminate floor throughout the house. He seemed to be knowledgeable about how to install a floor. I supplied the material on his measurements and list of supplies. He did a great job on the floor but a horrible job on the finished product. He told me when he was almost finished that he needed quarter round to finish the floor and demanded it right away. The quarter round was not mitred where they joined and he did not finish the corners or the closets correctly. He took down the bi-fold doors in every closet but did not know how to re-hang them. When I told him that I would not pay the balance until the job was completed to my satisfaction, he left threats to inflict bodily harm to me on my cell phone voicemail and sent emails with the same threats. He stole the house key out of the lockbox I left for him and would not give it back so I had to hire a locksmith to change my keys. He claimed his mother was an attorney but when I checked with the Ohio Supreme Court she was not listed. He gave me a false insurance certificate that State farm confirmed (he never made a payment). I had to file a police report to protect us.
