In regards to the above mentioned matter, please accept this letter as my formal response.This client retained my office in January of 2017 for a bankruptcy case. thereafter my office prepared of all the client's Bankruptcy Petition and Schedules.On July 13, 2017, the client called my office cancelling services. At that point, pursuant to ourRetainer Agreement, an itemized billing was done of the work that my office did for the client. Thebilling provided the client a detailed accounting of all work that was done. The end result was arefund due of$400.00. After the billing was sent to the client the client informed my office that thisrefund was unsatisfactory and that the client was going to file a complaint against me instead ofcepting the refund. The client has never asserted that he wanted my office to send that refund. Iwould still be happy to do so but I will not agree to any further refund amount as my office lived upto our end of the Retainer Agreement and I expect the client to now do the same.Thank you.Sincerely,John D. I do not know why Mr. Weiser did not attach a copy of the bill, but I have. The detailed bill was not completed until after I had a converstion with Mr. Weiser requesting a refund. The bill is also inaccurate. There several dates on the bill specifying dates that I stopped into the office which I didn't. There are also dates listed in which we had phone calls that didn't take place. I also brought my own copies when I did take my documents to his office. The bill is clearly inaccurate, and Mr. Weiser did not address the phone call we had in which I requested the refund and he said it would be around $800. a week and a half later I receive a detailed bill from his paralegal Frank [redacted] stating I have only a $400 credit.
