I am an employer and this office contacted me regarding garnishment of an Independent Contractor's wages. They sent me a form which they say I have not filled out completely. They contacted me and said they would send the form again. I never received it. When they contacted me today, I called and was told that they are finding a judgement against the company. They refuse to send the form again or verify the email address or fax number they sent the incomplete form. They got aggressive on the phone and hung up on me. I called back and they still refuse to resend the form that is incomplete. I run a theater company, the form may not be filled out correctly, but I would be happy to correct this mistake if they gave me the opportunity.
I believe they are trying to bully my company into paying money without proof of garnishment.
