To Whom it May Concern, I am writing in response to a claim filed against John B Hughes Apartments, located at [redacted] *** [redacted] ***I have attached a copy of Ms [redacted] ’ lease and House rules stating that any changes in income, must be immediately reported It also states that Rent is do on the first of the month and we allow a grace period of days In other words, if the rent is received by the close of business on the 5th day of the month, in full no late fees will be assessed After close of business on the 5th the late fees are charged at the rate of $on the 6th of the month and an additional$per day until it is paid not to exceed $per month I have included the ledger to provide a clear picture of the residents payments and fees as applicable Ms [redacted] has not responded to the office and when she had spoken to our Resident services coordinator I tried to reach out to Ms [redacted] but she stated she was unable to do so because she was “dear hunting” Any resident that owes a balance receives the letters as Ms [redacted] has As stated in my email and during our meeting, it is protocol and I am doing what is required in accordance with my job description and responsibilitiesI would like the opportunity to address the fire on the property that Ms [redacted] referred to Yes, there was fire that was in Building It was not due to a meth lab but rather a stove burner left on and unattended The resident where the fire originated has had her lease terminated I cannot discuss residents with other residents as it is a violation of fair housing laws I was hoping to have a copy of the Fire Marshall’s report however it has not been finalizedPlease let me know if you have any questions or concerns V/R [redacted] John B Hughes Site Manager

After close of business on the 5th the late fees are charged at the rate of $5.00 on the 6th of the month and an additional$1.00 per day until it is paid not to exceed $30.00 per month. I have included the ledger to provide a clear picture of the residents payments and fees as applicable.
