John A. Hudec Dental Associates, Inc.

My daughter had work done by this dental operation on 11/27/2013. Our insurance company was billed and the remaining amount due us amounts to $23.20, which Hudec billed us on 1/2/2014. The bill was paid with check number 802 on 1/6/2014 and mailed promptly on 1/7/2014. My credit rating is stellar and I have never missed a bill and have always believed in paying for services immediately. Yes, immediately, as I did this one. A week or so later, not I, but my daughter, received a call informing her the bill had not been paid. The check certainly should have reached them by that time, so I returned the call and left a voice message asking that they please check to make sure they received my check and to also please return my call to confirm. I never received a call so I assumed all was fine and taken care of. So after an initial bill initiated on 1/2/2014, we received a letter dated 1/22/2014, from [redacted], Office Manager, Hudec Dental, threatening to turn the bill over to a collection agency. I was frustrated since I had called them and they never returned my call, so as I mentioned, I assumed the bill was paid and all was settled. My wife immediately contacted [redacted] directly and discussed the matter, informing her that we had sent a check, which by the way, never cleared the bank, and told her I would immediately send her another. She said she would send us another bill which she did. It was dated 1/29/2014 and my second check, check #809 dated 1/30/2014, was mailed on 1/31/2014. She said she would flag the account accordingly. So today, 2/7/2014, I received another letter from Ms. [redacted], again hinting at further collections, along with two separate mailings, each a copy of the bill, now dated 2/4/2014. And again, the check has not cleared. I do NOT BELIEVE two checks, both mailed promptly, have not reached Hudec. Not for a minute. And I feel I am being harassed as I have done all possible to rectify this situation, and DO NOT appreciate the threats.
