Very knowledgeable about all kinds of repair and remodeling. He fought his way through our job of installing a new sink, faucet, shutoffs and whole house shutoff, successfully dealing with old piping and getting everything working. Sometimes not the most organized person, but he is very kind, caring and responsive. He will also advise if he sees something else that really needs attention so you can decide if you want that addressed also. His prices are reasonable.
We have been on Finch Lake for over 36 years. Joe has been one of the best contractors we have had. He is reliable, reasonable, and trustworthy. We began painting our new house then ended up remodeling a bathroom, some plumbing work (turned on the water), finished work our GC started, and various smaller jobs.
He is generally just a good guy and a pleasure to work with.
I would recommend to contact him for an estimate.
On July 2, 2018 we signed a contract with Joe M, of Joe's Painting & Handyman Services, to provide leveling and foundation support to a floor in our home. The quote he gave us for the work totaled $4,375. He was to start the job around the middle/end of this past summer, 2018, to be completed by the fall. We gave him a check for a 50% deposit on July 2nd to cover materials, in the amount of $2,187.50. He cashed our check on July 6, 2018. In September we began emailing and calling him to expedite the project, since work had not started. Each time we asked, he said he would begin the following week, assuring us he would get it done by Halloween. That did not happen. Since November 2018, we have emailed and called him every few weeks, requesting he return our deposit. He told us he would send us a check. We still have not received it.
He has not done the work.
We have not received our money back.
We want our deposit of $2,187.50 returned to us. Is there anything you can do to help us? Or can you advise us what our next steps should be? Thank you so much for any assistance you can provide.
