I took my car to joe ball on June 6th they had it for 8 days when I picked the car up my windshield had a foot long crack on the passenger side. I never had a cracked windshield. They tried to blame it on me and then they said they would pay 50% they got a price of $440.00. I said that is high and I shouldn’t have to pay any of the cost I didn’t crack my windshield. They said that’s all we can do. I said I will let you know so I called a couple of places one was $290.00 plus tax and the other was $215.00 plus tax so when I called them and told them the prices they said we will have to get an approval. The next day they called me and said they are not covering it st all. That tells me that they got an estimate ate from their friend and they wanted me to pay half which was $220.00 and of course that was the price of the whole job and tbeywould pay nothing. They wanted me to think they were doing me a favor and paying 50% which they weren’t going to pay at all. They think women are stupid but we are not.
In regards to complaint *** from *** in reference to her windshield being cracked while in our possession. When we completed the work on her vehicle we performed a cleaning and wash on the vehicle including cleaning the windshield and there was no notice of the windshield being cracked. When Ms. came to pick up her vehicle our employee pulled her vehicle from our back lot to the front lot and handed Ms. her keys at this point there was still no notice of a cracked windshield observed from our employee or Ms.. Ms. took delivery of her vehicle and left our premises without any mention of a cracked windshield. Ms. then returned minutes later complaining that here windshield was cracked and we gathered all employees that touched her vehicle to see if any of them noticed the extensive crack in her windshield and no one ever noticed the highly visible crack. We did look into replacing her windshield for her at the best price we could offer and she would not accept it, she wanted us to cover the windshield since she felt it happened while it was here. Based on the crack in the windshield when she returned after leaving, she or our employees would have noticed it prior to delivering the vehicle to her or her ever leaving the premises. We cannot accept the responsibility of her cracked windshield especially after she took delivery of her vehicle and left our premises.
Thank You,
Brad B

Regards,
*** first of all when I came to pick up my car it was already in the lot no one. Fought it out to me. I went inside paid my bill and the girl gave me my keys after I paid. It was a very sunny day I pulled out of the lot and I noticed immediately on the passenger side the foot long crack on my windshield. I immediately turned around and went back and told them I had no crack on my windshield when I dropped my car off. I was gone ten seconds and it did not happen then. Jonathan in service said they would talk to Joe Ball and see what he says. First they said they were not going to cover it and then I kept calling and Jonathan said I am goi b to get a price so after a day I called him and said what are you going to do he said I got a price of $440.00 and we will split 50/50. I said why should I pay $220.00 for something I didn’t do. I said I will call you back. So I called 2 places 3 rivers which was $290.00 plus tax and auto glass now for$215.00 plus tax I called Jonathan and he said I have to get an approval I will call you back which he didn’t so I called him back and he said we are not going to cover any of it. I said what you just told me you would cover 50%. He said well we are not now. Did not make sense I got a cheaper price and they said no. So I thought oh I got two lower prices so if I would of went for their price 50% of 440.00 is $220.00 and evidently that was the full price of the windshield and they would of had to pay nothing. They evidently got a higher price from one of their friends and made it look like they were doing me a favor paying 50%. I am a woman but I am not stupid. I had the wi dshield repla ed on Monday by auto glass now on west liberty avenue and the total cost is $238.00 which I would like a check sent to me for that amount si cue my windshield was cracked in the 8 days theyhad my car.
Hi,
This is *** from Pittsburgh. We purchased a used 2010 Honda car with approximately 38000 miles from Joe Ball, Glenshaw, PA in July 2015 and we also purchased a three year warranty which was $3000 as the Finance Officer insisted that it would be great to have the warranty. Not knowing much about car bargaining we bought the car along with the warranty for the price they asked. In two wwwks after the purchase, the brake pads needed to be replaced which we paid out of pocket.
We used the car a lot and the mile is $145000 right now but it has not been three years yet.
Recently we spent $4000 approximately on car repair and had contacted the warranty company several times and left voicemail but they never got in touch with us.
We contacted the dealer and went to the dealership today but they told us that the car warranty has expired since the warranty was only 3 years/74000 miles (which includes the 38000 miles that the car had when we purchased the car) and we have exceeded the miles even though not the length of time.
Nothing can be done as we were told by the dealer,
We asked if the warranty can by cancelled so that we can get the $3000 back but they told us that the warranty has expired because we went over 74000 miles (which includes the 38000 miles that the car had when we purchased the car) even though it is less than 2 and half years since we purchased the car.
I am checking online now and see that the extended car warranty is much lower than what we have been charged.
I am seeing reviews online for a Nissan 2012 used car, extended warranty for 7 year/100K miles cost only $1200 and even for a Mercedes for 6y/100K miles cost less than 3K.
We did not have in mind about purchasing the warranty when we went to buy the car but did it because the Finance Officer insisted on us buying and now it looks like we have paid way more than what it should be.
Can you please help as we feel that we have been ripped as we have not even been able to use the warranty even for once and paid $3000 towards it.
Thank you so much

We took the car in less than three years of expiration of the purchased warranty.
The warranty says 3 years 36000 miles-
It doesn't say whichever comes first.
we took the car in 2 and half years of purchase.
