I live in an apartment building managed by Brookside Properties ( [redacted] apartments) I signed my lease in mid-septwith the promise of amenities such as secure keycard entry and a gym -- both of which are STILL not available as of Dec5, They advertise and charge renters as "luxury" apartments, but my HVAC has broken four times in two months, there were loose wires found in my breaker box, brown recluse in my apartment, pieces of baseboard missing and broken kitchen drawersAlso, two water heaters and a series of pipes have burst in my building (***.) When I tried to contact corporate to see the proper inspection documents and ask a portion of my rent off for all of the trouble, they barely answered me and certainly did not work with me Is it legal to advertise and charge as having amenities that you still are indefinitely not providing? When I have simply suggested corporate taking a portion off my rent to make up for the amenities still not available as promised to us residents, I was coldly denied I DO NOT recommend working with anyone from Brookside Properties OR [redacted] Apartments Is there any way we can hold this company accountable for their actions? Please help
I live in an apartment building managed by Brookside Properties ([redacted] apartments).
I signed my lease in mid-sept. with the promise of amenities such as secure keycard entry and a gym -- both of which are STILL not available as of Dec. 5, 2016. They advertise and charge renters as "luxury" apartments, but my HVAC has broken four times in two months, there were loose wires found in my breaker box, brown recluse in my apartment, pieces of baseboard missing and broken kitchen drawers. Also, two water heaters and a series of pipes have burst in my building ([redacted].) When I tried to contact corporate to see the proper inspection documents and ask a portion of my rent off for all of the trouble, they barely answered me and certainly did not work with me.
