The Customer's vehicle was towed into our facility by a AAA wrecker. We called the customer when the vehicle arrived, and got all the information requiredThe customer provided us with call back number, and also the issue of it not startingHe also specified he would like to have a tune up
and also transmission service doneWe told the Customer that we would gladly check it over, and that there is a hour diagnostic fee of $The Customer gave us the OK to check out the vehicle. After inspecting the vehicle over for the no start issue, the technician confirmed that the vehicle needed a starterAlso, the battery terminals on the battery, were corroded and recommended that we put some terminals on the battery, and to also clean battery from corrosionThe Customer was called, and was informed of what we needed to do, to get the vehicle running, so that we could then further check for a Tune Up (if needed) and if the vehicle did in fact, need Transmission Service The Customer did inform me that he would bring me a starter and get back to me later in the day. When the customer showed up to our facility on Friday, he wanted to pick up the vehicleI then put repairs into revision, gave him his 10% discount for being a AAA Member, which brought his diagnostic fee to $He then insisted we do the battery terminals only on the vehicleI told the Customer that putting the battery terminals on the car would not get it started, and that he needed the starterI told him that If he wanted the terminals, the vehicle would still have to be towed out of here, and that I would prefer we at least get it running I explained that the diagnostic fee will be added to what the cost of the repair to the terminals would be and that it would be wise to let us fix the starter and clean the terminals so that he could at least have some warranty, and be able to drive off the lot with the carI told him I was not comfortable with just doing the terminals, as it would not be of benefit to him or the vehicle without doing the repair to the starterThe Customer did not want us to repair the vehicle properly, and I did not feel comfortable with only putting terminals on the vehicle I also explained to the Customer that if he chooses to pay the diagnostic fee that day, that the $would be applied to the current invoice price of $if he wanted to bring the vehicle back at a later date. Our policy is to never look over a vehicle without first letting the Customer know what fee's will be applied, or what Check Out time costWe also take great pride in making our Customer's feel like they have been helped and that we have their best interest at heartWe apologize for any miss understanding or confusion about repairs
