Great service

JNT Developers reroofed and installed gutters on my home in June Their representative Jonathan [redacted] was very professional and lead me through the insurance claim processTheir crew was very polite and professional and were very considerate during the projectThe roof was a difficult one due to high pitch and many anglesThe craftsmanship of the final result is very good and I am very happy with the resultsI would highly recommend JNT Developers for roofing

I'm a real estate investor and hired JNT to remodel a house I flipped in XXXX-XXIn short, I encountered all of the nightmare scenarios that you hear about with shady general contractors: poor quality work, multiple missed deadlines (and by multiple I mean one after another after another), and lousy/nonexistent communication about the status of the projectThe owner of the company, *** *** (he goes by "***"), even admitted to me in an email that JNT did a lousy job, while at the same time stating that I was "an excellent customer"
I should have turned a very solid profit on this flip, but ended up losing money specifically because of the problems I had with JNTWhen I tried to sell the house, it fell out of contract THREE times because of problems with JNT's work that were discovered by the buyers' inspectorsWhen I contacted *** and explained the problems I was having, he told me I should have given JNT more time to fix the problemsAll this, despite already giving them WAY more time than was stipulated in the contract and, like I said, missing repeated deadlinesWhen I brought this to ***'s attention, he said that change orders were the reason the project was so far behind scheduleIf you know anything about construction or remodeling, you'd know that these change orders should not have taken ANYWHERE NEAR the additional time that they didNOT EVEN CLOSEWhile JNT did offer to compensate me for the problems they caused, the amount they offered was absolutely laughableIt wasn't even close to what they actually cost me
I would pursue legal action against JNT, but after seeing how poorly the company is managed, I'd be shocked if they actually were able to pay a settlement after losing in court, which means I'd then be out thousands more in legal fees
I'm sure ***, or someone from JNT, will respond to this review and try to somehow twist things around to put the blame on meBut like I said, *** admitted to me in writing that they did a lousy jobI have documented proof of EVERYTHING I've written aboveI'm absolutely certain I could win in court if I chose to pursue that path, but I'm far less confident that JNT could paySo I'm here writing this review instead
There are tons of general contractors in DFWTrust me, you can find plenty that are better than JNT

We're very happy we chose JNT Developers when our home and property suffered a lot of hail damage this spring Their representative handled all of the insurance adjuster meetings/questions/requests and kept us informed every step of the way Their workmen were prompt, professional, thorough, and efficient Clewas meticulousWe highly recommend JNT Developers

Josh *** and his crew at JNT were very professional, courteous, and great to deal withIn addition, they did a fantastic job on replacing our roof and gutters, part of our fence, and replacing some rotted wood from around our homeI would definitely hire them againJob well done!

JNT re-roofed our entire home in May Since then our part of Dallas,Tx had experienced a LOT of rainEven with several sky lights we have not had a single leak!
The JNT roofing crew was prompt, courteous and above all very NEAT & CLEANI emphasize this because they picked up all of their materials as they went along, and used a magnetic roller to make sure that all the nails were also out of the grassThey also swept the patio, porch and driveway
I would give JNT Roofing an A+++and I an very picky

JNT has worked on several projects for meI have been more than satisfied with the team that has worked with me They are honest and have met demanding schedulesThe crew and ownership work very hard to meet deadlines and keep details of project status

I have a 100+ year old house in a conservation district and contracted with JNT to build a storage shed/carport/screened in porch to match the style of the houseJNT failed to meet my expectations in the following areas:
Notification of Damage to Property There were numerous incidents of damage to existing property, including a delivery truck that hit the side and roof of the house and breaking the water line in different places while diggingJNT did not notify me when these incidents happened - I discovered all of these myself after the crews had left for the day On one occasion, the water line under the deck was hit and broken, and although I noticed it the same day, I waited to see if any at JNT would tell me about it The next day, the pipe had been repaired and covered up without anyone ever telling me it had happened When I asked about it, I was told their records showed I had been notified of the break and had inspected and approved the repair I paid for my own plumber to fix the break properly
Lack of Onsite Project Supervision - on numerous occasions, I would find problems with things not being built according to plan When I contacted the project manager at JNT, it was obvious he was not aware of the issues and had not inspected the work himself Throughout the project, it felt like I was the only person monitoring the work for quality
Failure to Follow Project Plans - the plans that were drawn up for the project were not followed accurately, resulting in design changes to accommodate JNT's errors in designing, planning, and measuring For example, at the very beginning of the project, when the concrete was poured, it did not match the plan, which resulted in the fence line and garden path having to be relocated to a less than ideal location
Poor craftmanship and refusal to correct mistakes - At the end of the project, I was left with screen doors that are crooked and do not fit the openings correctly, patched holes in a standing seam roof, a crooked fence, roof rafters that are not evenly spaced apart - - there were so many do-overs throughout this project, it was apparent early on that JNT lacked the expertise to deliver a top quality product
Work not done according to city building codes and securing the proper permits Although I contracted with JNT to construct a building with electric and plumbing, they did not secure a permit for plumbing I was not aware of this until I asked to see drawing for the scope of the plumbing work and was advised by JNT that they did not get a plumbing permit because it was a simple plumbing job and didn't really need one They assured me the work would be done up to code When my own plumber saw the work, he advised it was not up to code in several aspects When I advised JNT, they asked me what exactly wasn't up to code I thought they should be aware of the code already, so I just paid for my plumber to redo the work correctly
Delayed or No Responses to Calls/Emails, Poor and Infrequent Communication - Sometimes weeks would go by before my emails would be answered The owner (Jorge) came to the site in person once to address my concerns He promised to fix all of the issues that were becoming commonplace, ensure the project manager had weekly meetings until the project was completed, etc, but nothing changed
I gave JNT every opportunity throughout this project to address these issues and complete the project according to plan Unfortunately, JNT appears to lack the organization and skill needed to deliver an acceptable product

I live in Wylie and I was one of the victims of the severe hail storm in April, I looked at many different contractors to help repair my home to its original beauty and I am grateful that JNT was the company I chose
all of the employees were extremely helpful and fought on my behalf with the insurance company to get exactly what I was owedJosh Sanchez was the contractor I used and he was one of the most helpful and knowledgable contractors I have ever dealt with, He was prompt to respond to my texts and even came to my place of business to show me samples of roofing shingles and siding colors to make sure I got what I wantedGod forbid anything like this ever happens again but if it does I know ill only be making one call and thats to JNT roofing and Commercial Contractors

JNT Developers reroofed and installed gutters on my home in June 2016. Their representative Jonathan [redacted] was very professional and lead me through the insurance claim process. Their crew was very polite and professional and were very considerate during the project. The roof was a difficult one due to high pitch and many angles. The craftsmanship of the final result is very good and I am very happy with the results. I would highly recommend JNT Developers for roofing.

On 04/27/2016 I spoke with Mr. Charlie [redacted] a sales person and Project Manager for JNT Developers to replace my damaged roof. Mr. [redacted] was and is very pleasant to work with, but the company JNT was the worst contractor I have EVER worked with in my life. I have owned many homes and a company called [redacted] LLC that rented homes; I am no stranger to contracting out work. Due to a week of bad weather, there was an immediate delay, but once the delay was over - JNT management went to work. They were to work with my insurance company to do the best possible job for me. Well, that did not happen.
They submitted something to the insurance company, but never finalized it with the insurance company. The adjuster at the insurance company was prepared to have about $3,000.00 more work onto the project, but JNT never got back to him. Mr. [redacted] thinking everything was in order, came to get the first check, so I asked what was the final payment to be? The contract was for $8,707.79 - I was in the process of writing the check when he said it was about $11,000.00. The prices given me were from $7,067.79 to $11,000.00. I then asked for an itemized list of what was going to be fixed and one item in particular, was the rotten fascia around the house.
This is where the problems begin. A manager named [redacted] got into the picture and to make a long story short and 105 emails later the roof and fascia were fixed. Mr. S[redacted] is an unreasonable, unprofessional and ignorant person lacking decorum, customer service and grammar skills.
Although nothing had been ordered, no stock pulled, no shingles chosen and adjuster work incomplete, he simply stated "The price is the amount that we negotiated & agreed on with your insurance company for repairs. Your revised statement of loss is our scope of work. That is why your provider sent it to you. These are the prices & repairs we mutually agreed on with them that are to be conducted. If you need me to go over this with you please let me know & we can arrange a time. We don't agree on a amount with you the insured. We agree on a amount with your insurance company. This is why it is a insurance agreement contract as stated at the top. Your insurance company pays you to pay us. Please have your attorney contact me directly or you can send his/her information & I will call them for you." (Email: Sun 6/12/XXXX XX:XX PM)
I tried to explain to him that I am hiring JNT and will negotiate the price and that I wanted an Itemized list of items to be completed (the insurance company was also waiting for information from JNT). JNT was increasing the price to include the depreciation back pay (about $900.00) - and I told them no. Mr. S[redacted] also replied "I am having a hard time understanding where the confusion is on your file. You signed a legal binding contract stating JNT would negotiate your claim with your insurance company & all insurance proceeds would be paid to JNT for the work & trades that we complete. Now if you are deciding you want to cancel after Charlie has met with adjuster & our estimating department has negotiated your claim to make adequate correct repairs, then you are accountable for the cancelation clause on the back of your contract. You have mentioned a few things that raise a red flag for JNT. 1. That your insurance provider stated your depreciation is yours to keep. I am perplexed as I have been doing this for over a decade & never heard of a insurance company representative recommending fraudulent acts to their insured. 2. That you have already paid your deductible. At this point you can move forward with your original contract or move forward & cancel assuming all legal binding fees. It is completely up to you." (Email: Sun 6/12/XXXX XX:XX PM)
This went on until Mr. [redacted] took back over on Fri 7/8/XXXX X:XX PM (Email), and stated "Ken, Regarding the Roof Replacement including the Fascia Repair, the amount of the project would be $9,207.03. I'm using the numbers from the Adjuster's Report I've attached below. "Note: This is from the insurance adjuster's report that we started with and had agreed to. Mr. [redacted] and I had many phone calls were he stated in a very professional and educated manner "Ken, I want your business and future business. I am sorry it got to this, but I will handle it." He regained my trust IN HIM! NOT JNT!!!
I asked Mr. [redacted] why he stayed with such an untrustworthy company. He stayed professional, and simply stated that was his choice at this time. I told him that if I ever needed to contract a company again and he was the project manager or sales person that he had my business, but I would NEVER do business with JNT Developers again. BEWARE OF MAKING AN AGREEMENT WITH JNT DEVELOPERS.
Date Agreed: 04/27/2016 Work finished: 07/22/2016 three months of [redacted]!

To Mr. Charlie [redacted] - Thank you and God bless you.

Very well. Jonathan was the project manager and he was a thorough professional. He always kept us informed and he worked very well with the insurance company in getting the claims processed in an expedited way and he also made sure the damages incurred were well documented and followed up with.

Great service.
