Review: JML Home Improvement has provided snow removal services at our [redacted] for several years. During a snow and ice storm on January 24, 2015 the owner of JML Home Improvement ([redacted]) was called at 8:30 AM to advise him that clients were already having difficulty exiting our parking lot (there's a steep hill at end of driveway) as it had not yet been cleared. [redacted] responded that "you can plow your own driveway" and hung up the phone. When we called back, he refused to answer the phone. [redacted] response to a legitimate client concern was not only unprofessional (and childish) but his failure to perform duties he'd previously agreed to left our business in a difficult situation and posed physical danger to our clients and staff. Another consequence of his action was that we needed to find someone to clear our driveway on an urgent basis, which was not only inconvenient but was more costly (as all emergencies are).Desired Settlement: I am seeking reimbursement of $100 for difference between what I would have paid [redacted] to perform these services and what I was forced to pay in the predicament that his actions caused. For the snowstorm 1/24/15, I paid [redacted]$200 ($175 to plow and sand the driveway, and an additional $25 to clear and sand the walkways). For a storm of similar 4" accumulation 12/17/13 I have a (paid) [redacted] from JML Home improvement with an associated charge of $100.
