Review: I've contacted this company in my neighborhood. [redacted] took a look at my deck and gave me an estimate of $450 to strip, wash and stain my deck. He asked me for a $225 deposit and he was going to start the job right away. This was on 10/7/13. That week rained a lot and we have to wait until the following. In order for me to hear from him, I have to text and call all the time. He doesn't answer my calls and soemtimes reply to my text messages. Now, he is telling me that the job is going to be more than what he estimated. I told him taht I wasn't interested in doing this anymore because I wasn't going to pay more than $450 (the gov furloughed took a big hit on me). Then he said that he would do it for $450 and that he was going to start on 10/16 (yesterday). I came home and nothing was done. I called him twice and no answer. I texted him and then he sent me six texts letting me know that he spoke with his VP and that we have to go over the contract because it was going to be more money. I told him that I want my deposit right away and that I don't want to deal with this compnay anymore because of their lack of professionalism and communication. No response!Desired Settlement: I want my deposit back! The contract doesn't state that is not refundable. I have invoice and receipt of payment. I don't want to go to court but if I have to, I will!
