I hired Jm keystone to repair my home after a plumbing leak. After several months of poor quality and slow repairs the contractor stopped showing up. A couple of moths later I paid a different contractor to complete the job. When jm keystone contacted me about 6 months later requesting I pay a bill for the entire project I explained that their contractor had walked off the job. They told me they would look into the matter and get back to me. I did not hear back from them but received a bill for the entire amount several months later.
After a thorough review of the file, it appears that the office and super have been trying to connect with the customer for a very long time. We have multiple documented attempts; the customer stated she was on vacation, sick, no response, cannot make it, please reschedule., etc.
We to would like nothing more and have been trying to close this job out for months. We eventually, after months of attempts, had to force the issue and close the job to get some sort of response and recoup some money.
After all of that, including collection calls, we escalated this to demand letters forcing the issue. It wasn’t until we demanded a response that the customer reached out to us and filed this complaint.
I am attaching a log of entries from the database of communication CRM.
We have no problem only charging the customer for the items that we completed. There was only a punch list from our understanding.
After we sent the demand letter and she filed this issue, we were finally able to get a hold of the customer via text on March 16th. She stated she was busy at work, and we can schedule a time to meet at the property.
We reached back out to her again as we hadn’t heard back from her in over 22 day. She texted Tuesday 7th and put us on hold again. She said to wait a few weeks until things die down.
There is nothing we want more as you can see from the log than to close this and get paid
J&M did a professional and thorough job in restoring my home. I am glad I chose them and would highly recommend them for duct cleaning, carpet cleaning, and furniture cleaning.
Andrew, thanks for your great review, we are glad to hear that you had a great experience. We look forward to working with you on the next job!
JM Keystone was here to perform a minor repair on our building. They were prompt, couteous, professional and did a terrific job. Barry Garson set me up and his team took care of us. I highly recommend their service. Thank you JM K!

Thank you so much for the nice feedback about our servcie. We look forward to working again when you need it!
We had a fire six weeks ago that damaged the garage, the roof and a portion of the house. We have insurance and J&M is their agent. They inspected, arranged to have the gas and electric safed, and told us a cleaning crew would attend to the living area smoke damage. Two days later a contractor took care of the utilities. A week later, an inspector cleared the electric and gas for our use again. After repeated calls the electric was restored to the living areas four days later. Previously they had provided a generator, so this was only a frustration rather than a problem. The gas utility has been another matter entirely. Despite repeated calls they have never reconnected the water heater and central heating. We have finally been forced to contact someone else to restore the service. While we aren't able to do this, a professional only took an hour from start to finish. All other issues with this company have been much more unpleasant.
Brad is our contact in the company. He is polite and professional. He is not, however, effective or candid. He calls when workers are scheduled to show up. Only once has anyone arrived on time. The earliest person was two hours late. The worst, after two calls, came almost nine hours late. (They were asked to reschedule by the resident; who is an invalid.) Brad has been asked to please give us accurate arrival times in almost every call we make. He is most polite and agreeable. The people still show up late and usually leave with the current task way behind schedule and uncompleted. They leave without providing times for future visits, despite our best efforts. No one has started on our roof. It has rained several times and the loft with its smelly fire damaged debris is now soaked. We have been forced to haul ruined items outside to reduce the smell and access intact items. Today, Brad said someone would be here next week to "plan their approach". Brad also said that it took three days to paint the kitchen (a small uncluttered area) because the worker needed to repair the ceiling. I watched the guy, Dave, who was efficient. He did that in the first thirty minutes. Unfortunately, he arrived 3 hours late, in late afternoon, and left at dusk. After arriving late, he is currently back and finishing his work. While he isn't providing any information, I am satisfied that the chronic lateness isn't a personal fault. That is very little comfort. I have some experience with the consumer and provider aspects of the restoration business. At a minimum the management of this company's operations is deeply unprofessional. I would not ever again consider using their services.
A last note: I mentioned a person who arrived on time. That was a contractor who arrived to perform the final clean up of the carpet. He was under the impression that the project had been completed. We let him do his task. It helped to relieve some of our frustration with the notice we received earlier, indicating we had signed off a completion/ customer satisfaction form. The project is unfinished. I will certainly file a complaint.
Hello Ruth, I am so sorry to read your frustrated experience with our company. I am very interested in speaking with you regarding your experience of our service and to find some solutions for getting you taken care of.
I had a good experience with them that I'd like to share. For about ten days, the ice maker on our kitchen refrigerator leaked without us knowing. (We were on vacation for part of the time). By the time we discovered it, the water had traveled under a couple walls and pooled in our living room, staining our molding, ruining our carpet, and damaging some of our drywall. We called J&M and they did our remediation and repairs. We couldn't be happier. Barry, Rich and his crew quickly addressed the remediation - which luckily didn't include treating mold - and Patrick and Paul followed up with the repairs. Honestly, the drywall looks better than before the damage.
Thank you for your feedback Robert!
We are here to serve.
They were also about half the price of the other quote I got.
