Contracted to grade my driveway that was easily accessible and turned my driveway in to a mud pit.
I Contracted jk to grade my driveway out which was made of good hard packed clay and iron ore. He agreed and broght in a dozer took the soft red clay out of the ditch and put it on top of my driveway and bladed that out and called it good. And charged me 1700 dollrs for it I told him that it was in acceptable and continued to give me a story that I had to put rock down to fix it now. I did not and do not have the money for rock he knew that. Now I get stuck in my driveway every time it rains. I have asked for him to fix it and a, refund and been denied. His work was shottie and unprofessional.
Since the contracted work has made the drive way worse and almost impossible to use I would like a refund for a, incomplete job. In all honesty the driveway could have been better with 1700 dollars worth of rock then having him come in with a dozen and charging me to tear up my driveway.

This customer contracted with JK Contracting Services LLC to have his driveway graded and re-ditched. The driveway was in horrible condition with very deep wash outs. The customer was told numerous times prior to starting the work that he would need to put down rock or the driveway would washout, would be muddy, and need periodic regrading. The customer stated that he did not want to put rock down.
The customer entered into a written contract stating that the driveway would be graded and ditched at an hourly rate of 85 per hour. The job took 20 hours to complete. The driveway was 1465 feet long and 15 feet wide. We also fixed a culvert that was completely washed out. The customer also stated after the job was done that he was happy and satisfied with the job that was done.
We received a call approximately one week after the job was completed. The customer called to complain about the driveway being "slick" due to rain and the driveway was starting to wash out again. I advised him that it was going to be slick due to it not having any rock on it. The driveway is a dirt driveway. I told the customer that I would send my bulldozer back out to his house, without any charge, and regrade where there were ruts and put in two water bars to keep the driveway from washing. I advised him numerous times after this that he would need rock. I also told him that I would cut my prices on my rock in order to help him out. We cut our prices low enough to the point that we would only break even on the rock. He continually stated that he did not want rock.
I got a call from this customer several weeks later stating that he was going to have to put his truck in the shop due to it going off of the driveway since the driveway was slick. The customer said that he wanted to meet with me. I agreed to meet with him. Once I met with him, he admitted that he did not know what happened to his truck and that I told him he was going to need rock after we were complete. He stated that his driveway should not be "slick" due to rain. I told him that is what happens on a dirt driveway. During this time, I video taped this conversation. He was caught several times in a lie.
Prior to starting this project I gave an estimate to grade, re-ditch, and rock the entire driveway. He stated that he only wanted it graded and re-ditched. This was done and he stated that he was satisfied after the job was done. We have picture evidence, written correspondence, a signed contract, and video evidence of all that is stated above. We have gone above and beyond for this customer. I am happy to make all evidence available to the Revdex.com.
This customer also tried to blackmail our company into refunding him half of the money that he paid. He stated that he would submit a complaint against our company if we did not give him half of his money back. He was told very politely that this would not happen. I also have written correspondence of this as well.
We strive to make all of our customers happy. We have been in business for many years and have never had any complaint like this. There are numerous customers that can verify just how much we work towards a great relationship with our customers. It is unfortunate that this customer feels this way, but we have gone above and beyond to make this customer happy. Please let us know if there is any other documentation that the Revdex.com requires.
Respectfully,

To start the driveway was in bad shape to begin with but it was easily accessible in and out in there rain. The contractor did state that it would wash out if I didn't put rock down. I stated that I could NOT afford rock at the time but I wanted the driveway bladed out so that the water would run off the sides instead of down the middle. I did state that the driveway looked good After he finshed. A day later not a week it rained I notified him he said he would fix it the bulldozer was still onsite.he did blade it back out after this I looked at the driveway in-depth and realized that he had put loose dirt on top of the hard pack that I had and the only way I knew to fix it was to put rock on it he offered rock at his price so I ordered two loads . the rock was called off twice in a two week period by him I spoke with him about coming out to see the crappy job done and he did and proceed to give excuses why by this point I was done with him. A week later I remember that he asked me "what he could so to make it right" so I message him asking for half of my money back he declined. In conclusion I just want to make it known that if you use this contractor to watch him closely and supervise his work. The Revdex.com is more than welcome to come out and inspect the work done and may have any information that I have partaking in this matter.
We have gone out of our way to help this customer. We always want our customers to have a positive experience. We are sorry that this customer feels this way, but we have done everything that we can do.
I have explained to this customer on multiple occasions, including prior to starting the job, that he would need rock on the driveway once we had graded it with a Bulldozer. We have sent our bulldozer out, on our time, to this cutomer's property to try and make him happy. I have offered to haul rock and spread the rock at our cost.
The two loads of rock that this customer is talking about was called off due to rain and job time. We can not haul or spread rock in the rain. This customer was told to let us know if he still wanted us to haul the rock. He did not answer and has not called.
I am more than happy to meet with the customer again to see what we can do to help him out, but he needs to put rock on the driveway. I have also offered to give him another contractors phone number if he did not want to purchase rock from us, but this customer refused that. Once again, we are more than happy to help out where we can. We appreciate the Revdex.com's mediation and professionalism.
